This cozy a-frame is located minutes from "Whiteface Mountain" , where you can enjoy all types of skiing.
There are plenty of hiking trails as well as snowmobiling. When the snow is gone, there's extreme mountain biking on the mountain. When your finished for the day come home and relax in a cozy atmosphere, where you can cook a nice meal in a fully equipped kitchen or watch a movie with the kids.
There are also a few board games as well. Maybe you want to spend a romantic evening in front of the fireplace!! Lake Placid is just 20 minutes away, where you can spend the day sightseeing and walking through the historic little town where there are many fine shops and restaurants.
Take the elevator trip to the top of the Olympic Ski Jumps and enjoy the views. The summertime is just as busy as the winter with over 30,000 miles of rivers/streams for kayaking, rafting, tubing, etc.
There is around 3,000 lakes that support all kinds of fishing. If you enjoy golfing , there are some beautiful golf course overlooking mountains , etc,. Whatever your hobby you'll definitly find something to do in this area.
My only suggestion is that you do some research on the internet and look at all the things that are here to do.
You'll find you need more than a week!!
