Why the Owner Chose Centro Historico

San Miguel is magical - a well-deserved UNESCO World Heritage site with cobblestone streets and the occasional donkey side by side with modern restaurants and art galleries in a perfect year-round moderate climate. A Mexican friend of ours calls San Miguel "2nd world" - that is, a combination of the 3rd and 1st worlds. And that seems about right. Our house and our apartments are in the best possible location in San Miguel. Many other rental possibilities will tell you that they are some number of minutes (10, 15 sometimes 20 minues) walking distance to the Centro - but that often translates into how long it takes to get to the outskirts of the Centro. Here is why we bought where we did -- we are 1 level block from the Jardin. Period. Could hardly be closer...

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

Because the weather here is mild year round, we enjoy being outdoors daily on our patios and roof terraces. Just breathing in the air, listening to the fountains and enjoying a cup of coffee outside seems to create a peaceful beginning to every day. We enjoy walking to the Jardin, sitting on the park benches and "people-watching." For more sophisticated pleasures, there are hot springs for swimming, 1st class restaurants to walk to, shops, museums, artisan markets or hiking in the nearby hills. Maybe Spanish classes. At the end of the day, back to the terrace to watch the sun go down over the valley -- perhaps with a glass of wine or a margarita. What could be better?

Owner's Map of Centro Historico

Robert and I have always loved Mexico -- so, no surpise when we visited San Miguel we knew immediately that this was the place we wanted to be! We had owned and developed many other properties in the US, but that did not necessarily prepare us for the construction process in Mexico. But, when all was said and done, we managed to take a small run-down residential compound in the heart of the historic center of town and make it an oasis of calm and beauty, where we love to be and where we love to greet others coming to San Miguel. Whether you are tourist or are considering moving to Mexico, we would love to have you as our guests. Move the view of the map to HYBID view to see where we are!

Our favorite place to stay in SMA!

Cinco Flores is a prime place to stay in San Miguel. The owners are very gracious and friendly. The location cannot be beat--2 blocks from the center of town, quiet neighborhood, easy walking distance to the best and our most favorite restaurants and entertainment. The secure entryway welcomes you and the décor in each apartment is lovely. Everything you need for a long or short stay is there, including WiFi, laundry facilities, housekeeping service....and it is spotlessly clean. If this is your first time in SMA, Cinco Flores is a great place to live while you get acquainted with the Mexican people and their culture. After many vacations in San Miguel, this is our favorite place to stay. We can hardly wait to get back! Lorain, Ohio USA

SAN MIGUEL'S BEST!

Guest: Sir Larry (Warren, Ohio)
Date of Stay: 05/08/10 Review Submitted: 05/20/10

We recently spent a week in this "casita" and the description and pictures on the website do not do it justice. As with most real estate, it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This place has the best location you could possibly hope for. If it was a dump it would be worth the price just for the location. It is the opposite of a dump. It is absolutely fabulous! The owners have spared no expense in either the remodeling or the furnishings and decor. We walked in and felt right at home. It was so pleasant to come "home" to after a morning or evening out.If this place (or one of their other two) is available for the time period you want, look no further. BOOK IT!!!
