Labor Day Weekend Ritual

Guest: Mike (Great Falls)
Date of Stay: 09/02/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

We have gone to Big Sky the past few years with another family to enjoy the scenery and enjoy the accomodations. This year we chose this Powder Ridge Cabin. We were very pleased with the home and its ammenities. It was clean, the kitchen had everything and then some, and the owner/agent was very helpful. We do plan staying here again.

This is without question the way to go whether your staying in Big Sky with a group of friends or with your family. Any qustions or concerns you have will be answered immediately by a local who is on the mountain, who knows the mountain. This cabin is very clean and user friendly with all the comforts of home. The days of shopping around for us are over, just give this property manager a call and she will get you what you need.

Manitoba Spring Break Adventure

Having never skied at Big Sky before, we were anxious to get there. When our 2 families walked into the cabin, everyone was excited. The kids especially loved the bunk rooms. After flipping a coin for the top bunk, all was good. We started a fire in the beautiful wood burning fireplace and settled in. It was cozy, with plenty of seating room for 8 people to relax. The bedroom and bathroom in the lower level was nice and private. The kids enjoyed having a dance party with the wii. The hot tub was nice, but not quite big enough for all eight of us at once. The mounds of snow surrounding the cabin offered tobaggoning and snow boarding for the kids in the evening. The ski out was close by, but did require a bit of arm work on certain days. Overall, it was great. Big Sky is our new favorite ski destination. We will be back.

During our stay we noticed that there could have been more cookware( bowls, pots & pans) however what cookware there was, was of very good quality and easy to clean. Hot tub was a little small for 4 adults and children. Snow could have been shovelled off the deck because when it started to melt it dripped through the deckboards and onto you while sitting and relaxing in the hot tub. On a positive note the cabin was beautiful and very homey. We were also impressed with the fact that the kitchen was adequetaly stocked with the essential spices and condiments. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider a return visit in the future. Ski conditions were great!

Owner response:Hans, Thank you for staying with us during your recent vacation! We always appreciate feedback that helps us provide a great guest experience and will be working during the coming off season to make sure that the kitchen is fully stocked for our future guests. I have also contacted the association who is responsible for our deck shoveling to make sure they stay more on top of clearing the snow from the top deck. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you back next year. Kirsten

Excellent stay at Powder Ridge with Big Sky Vacation Rentals

Guest: TN Skier (Johnson City, TN)

This cabin has everything you need for a great ski trip. I have skied all over the western united states and this was my favorite ski trip. The cabin has everything you would want in a ski cabin including ski in / ski out. Big Sky and Moonlight Basin have terrain for all skier levels and tons of it with no crowds. Big Sky Vacation Rentals were very professional, prompt, thorough, and helpful. I would definitely rent this cabin from them again.

Awesome Family Rental

We loved our Big Sky experience!! This home was perfect for our family group of 10, including kids aged 6-8. The floorplan is perfect for multiple families and the location was really good. Kirsten and Kris went over the top to make sure we had everything we needed. They even brought over extra games when they found out we had 4 young kids. We can't say enough great things about Big Sky Vacation Rentals or the unit itself!!!

Excellent Accommodations at Cabin

Guest: GAB0427 (North Dakota)
Date of Stay: 12/26/10 Review Submitted: 01/25/12

This was our third Holiday season spent in Big Sky and everytime we have booked our accommodations through Big Sky Vacation Rentals. I highly recommend Kirsten and her staff. They take care of everything and have excellent properties available. We found the Powder Ridge Cabin just as described on the website. The property had everything we needed during our week stay. We loved having an mainfloor living space and a lower level family room so that family members could spread out and do different activites at night after a day of skiing. The hot tub was awesome! I would not hesitate to recommend this property and Big Sky Vaction Rentals to others looking for high quality accomodations and services in Big Sky.

Wonderful Yellowstone/Big Sky Summer Vacation!

Guest: Mike (Seattle)
Date of Stay: 08/22/10 Review Submitted: 09/28/10

We stayed at a Powder Ridge cabin that we booked with Kirsten King of www.BigSkyVacRentals.com. We drove in from Seattle and got there after dark, but the house light was on and we "checked in" the next morning. Kirstin was extremely helpful both over the phone and in person. She made sure we got the right cabin that fit our needs. The cabin itself was wonderful. Great beds, nicely furnished and plenty of firewood. The place was huge. The hot tub was very relaxing after a long day of hiking. We used the cabin as a base camp for exploring Yellowstone National Park. I found Big Sky in general to be less expensive and having better facilities than in the park or some of the gateway towns around the park. Big Sky was perfect for us. I'd definitely stay in this cabin or one of the other rentals from Big Sky Vacation Rentals, knowing that they would take good care of us.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Hiked Beehive Basin and the Big Sky slopes, ziplined in the Mountain Village, all within minutes of the cabin. Saw a moose and her calf down the road and a bear up by Moonlight gate. Enjoyed the cool evenings of the mountain and perfect hiking weather.
