This apartment is perfectly located in the Latin Quarter. Opposite a charming wooded public garden, it is two minutes away from the famous Mouffetard and Monge streets with their many cafes, restaurants, shops, bakeries and open markets. It is also within walking distance of the Jardin des Plantes and the Natural History Museum. The Lutece Roman Arenas - built in the first century A.D., the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pantheon are all also within easy walking distance. The closest metro stations are Censier-Daubenton and Gobelins.
Standing
Having dialled a security code to go through the porch, you go through two charming courtyards to reach the entrance of the building. The apartment is on the 4th floor and there is a lift. Some of its windows overlook an internal courtyard, others look out over the roofs of Paris, making this flat really peaceful and quiet.
Layout
This 65m2 apartment is on 2 levels. Downstairs, the main room is divided into two areas: the dining area with a wooden dining table accommodating 6+ guests and the living area with a flat screen TV and a double sofa-bed (with a high quality mattress, 140x190). Although non-operational, this room boasts a beautiful chimney as focal point, typical French floor tiles ?Tommettes? and wooden beams. The kitchen is separate and fully equipped. The bathroom has a large corner bathtub/shower. Conveniently the toilets act as a second washroom with a basin. Upstairs you will find two separate bedrooms and an office space. The most spacious bedroom has two single beds (80x180) (?gigogne beds?) that can be made up as a double bed, and a reading corner. This bedroom has several chests of drawers and a small wardrobe. During the daytime, light floods through the roof window and brightens this room that overlooks the roofs of Paris. The second bedroom - the master bedroom - is above the dining area with a comfortable double bed (160x200). Although smaller, it exudes romantic charm with light streaming through a roof window. Should you need to work, you will find a desk in the office space between the two bedrooms. The flat is equipped with A/C, which is a great luxury in summer months. Two barriers with locking security systems make the stairs safe for young children. To conclude this apartment is advertised at a great price. It is perfect for a family of up to 6 people. It is ideal for discovering Paris and its attractions. The proximity of food stores as well as many gourmet boutiques is convenient and will be a major part of your Parisian experience. Great apartment in a great location. 5 adults stayed for 4 nights and it proved to be an excellent base with Metro stops just a few minutes/short walk away. Rue Mouffetard is a short walk away too and is "tres bien" for food and drink. Good atmosphere on the street in the evenings too. Apartment is set back off the road so peaceful for a good nights sleep. This was the third time I've used Paris Address and the service provided is first class. Very helpful and flexible to adapt to your needs. I am already looking at booking another stay in a Paris apartment via Paris Address next year. Can't wait.Did you find this review helpful?
