We had such a lovely stay in this apartment. It was very spacious. It is easy to reach many areas in Paris since the Metro is literally around the corner. I highly recommend it to families. The kids slept in the room with the twin beds while we slept down the hallway in the master bedroom. This made it easy for us to get up earlier, while the kids got to sleep in. The twin bedroom was nice and dark with the drapes closed. It was great to be able to eat our breakfast in the apartment, pack up a lunch for our day, and then make it back for dinner, if we wanted, before heading back out for the evening. Jennifer was great to deal with. Xavier made us smile from the moment we met him. He took the time to answer questions and take us around the apartment to show us everything. You will not be sorry if you book this. We have recommended it to family and friends, and would stay here again without question. ( Also if you've read the book, Sarah's Key, the story takes place in this neighborhood - fictional book, but neat to read a book and be in that area.)

On arriving at the apartment we were delighted by the size of the apartment. The fabulous high ceilings and large reception rooms was a stark contrast from other French accommodation in which we had stayed. The gentleman who picked us up from the train (Included in the cost) was a delight and extremely helpful in settling us in. We enjoyed the ability to relax, wander down to the local markets ( Sunday and Thursday) and the the array of fabulous bakeries and food stores within a block or 2. Local Metro access was great. While the property was clean and neat, our only disappointment was that the apartment is showing signs of fatigue with paint coming off the walls and some updating of tiles and fittings being required.

We stayed in this apartment for 11 weeks from late February to early May. The apartment was everything that the listing said it was (charming, large, well-situated) but lacked some items for a long stay. Jennifer was gracious about our requests and paid for everything that we bought. We had previously stayed in this part of the Marais so we knew the neighbourhood well. It's a gem in Paris, especially valuable to anyone who wants to cook. The Enfants Rouge maket is a treasure, but so are the butchers, boulangeries and other stores on the rue Bretagne. This has been the best Paris apartments we've rented in almost 20 years of visiting Paris. The airport service is a plus and we used it for other trips as well. Highly recommended and worth every penny. We've rented it again for a 3-month stay.

We stayed here a week for an all-girls getaway and 5 of us had more than enough room (and bathrooms) to satisfy our needs. It took 16 months to plan this trip and the owner was very helpful from the get-go until the very end. The airport pickup was efficient and we hired the same driver to take us back to the airport. The apartment is well furnished and tastefully decorated, with lots of closet space. The building also has a lift (elevator) as well as stairs to reach the unit, located on the 2nd floor. The apartment is conveniently located only a block from the nearest Metro station and all the major sights within Paris are easily accessible in a short time via the Metro (we didn't need a car at all). We discovered charming cafes and restaurants for dining in and take-away food, as well as a wine shop, a fromagerie, fresh fruit and flower vendors, 2 groceries/markets, a boulangerie, and a women's clothing boutique, all within a minute or two walking distance from the apartment. Local vendors also set up a kind of sidewalk sale on Saturday. If you want to feel like a true Parisian, rent this place as you won't be disappointed. I look forward to staying at this property again. Thank you!

We invited three members of our family who live in Chartres to brunch while here. They agreed that this was one of the most charming roomy apartments in a great location. After brunch on a Sunday we spent three hours walking around the neighboring parks and shops. A block away we found wonderful markets for fresh vegies and fruit and all our needs. An ATM just a short block away. We were so grateful for the arrangement of having the owner's conseirge/manager waiting for us at the airport to take us to the apartment and help us with our luggage. He also arranged for our pick up and return to the airport when we left. The owner was very helpful with all details and information we needed. Many of our friends are interested in staying here in the future. We loved the metro stop being one block away. Can't say enough good things about this rental. Go for it

My husband and I, along with two 18-year old nieces, spent a week here. The apartment is HUGE by Paris standards. Large, bright and airy rooms are comfortably furnished and feel very “Parisian”. The kitchen, which we used daily, is well-equipped with quality pots and pans and utensils. There is a wide selection of glassware, dishes and serving pieces. So often VRBO’s are stocked with what seems like the owner’s college castoffs – not the case here. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows and linens are superior. Everything was immaculate. The neighborhood is ideal. You can find amazing pastry and bread at Fougasse, and fresh fruit and veg, rotisserie, meat, fish, grocery stores, etc. are all within a 5 minute walk. The Metro is a fairly useful line (so you are not changing 3 or 4 times), the bus to the Left Bank stops right outside the door and taxis are plentiful if that’s your thing. There is also an ATM nearby. The apartment is near a busy intersection and so the sounds of Paris traffic can get loud, especially if you like the windows open. If you need quiet to sleep bring some earplugs as the sound continues through the night. The back bedroom, with the twin beds, is quieter than the master. One of the best things about this rental is the owner, Jennifer. She keeps on top of her email and responds to any question or request (before and during the rental) quickly, and she genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at the apartment. It was everything we expected and more. There is everything you need within a couple of blocks of the apartment. It is off a main street but we couldn't hear any sounds. The only drawback was the exterior renovation of the apartment which meant we could not see the facade. Xavier was a great contact. We hired him to take us to Versailles and back which was much better than our last trip when we took the RER Train. The apartment is very comfortable with all the amenities that you need. The kitchen if fully equipped and we made use of that as well as bringing in food from near by shops. You have both bus and subway stations very close by. The beds and the lay out of the apartment was great for two couples.

Owner response: Hi William, I'm glad you liked the apartment. It is so convenient and I'm glad you had everything you needed. The renovations are complete now and the building has been restored to its original Hausmann charm.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
From Happy customers: "I want to thank you for letting me stay in your apartment. It was wonderful ! So spacious and authentic. I really felt like a Parisian when I walked out the front door. I had only stayed on the left bank, which I now realize has become more commercial. Your neighborhood was filled with locals, and the shops on rue de Bretagne were so quaint. Le Marche Enfants Rouges was a delight. And the 96 bus to the front door was like having a driver." Hi Jennifer, I've always intended to write to thank you for renting us your lovely apartment last August. It was last minute, if you remember, & it all worked out so perfectly. Your apartment is beautiful & I loved the location. Xavier was there @ the airport to pick us up & he was most accomodating. We also used him to take us back to the airport. What a great service. We found the apt. to have everything we could possibly need & was so spacious for 3 people. And the luxury of 2 bathrooms, especially with our teenage daughter. The weather was so nice & the city not too crowded, either. I would absolutely go back there again or recommend it to friends. You were also very easy to work with. We had a wonderful time. Thank you once again. Sincerely, Kathy K Finally settling back in to our life on Long island but wanted to let you know we really enjoyed staying at the apartment. It was spacious and very pretty. Paris is wonderful and staying in the Marais was lovely. Thanks - from Phylis
