The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small (no master bedroom like advertised). One had no TV, Both have small showers. We found the AV equipment did not work, lack of instructions or remotes (not sure). Kitchen was great, mid level master was nice, nice game room and lower level bedroom and bunk room. Fireplaces were nice. Nice quite surroundings. Overall a nice getaway.

This house is awesome! My family stayed here this summer and it has enough space for everyone! The kids loved the bunk room downstairs! And, the deck was great along with the patio outside the master bedroom. I love the log cabin feel too. The lake is beautiful...loved the handmade fishing poles...the kids loved them and they loved jumping off the dock into the water! The pool table was a real treat for everyone! This house is a true retreat! Would recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderful time at Sunset Point! The house is beautifully decorated and there is plenty of space for multiple families such as ours (we had family as young as 10 years old up to 80 years old!). The owners have thought of everything and we were especially impressed with the cleanliness of the entire house. The kitchen is unbelievable - incredibly spacious and well-equipped. It was particularly nice to have an additional kitchen and laundry room downstairs. We also especially loved hanging out on the dock - looking out from the dock you only see the gorgeous lake and forest - no houses in sight! We rented a boat and tube from Lakes End Marina (Steve was awesome!), but we also used the kayaks that were available at the house. From the moment we arrived at Sunset Point, we felt relaxed and spoiled by this gorgeous home. All of us left with plans to return as soon as possible! Our only hesitation in recommending this home is that everyone else will also discover how wonderful it is and we will have trouble booking it in the future! We are grateful for a very special week in this incredible lake house!

I am not the type to write reviews very often. For the most part, I find that things "are what they are"; that advertisers exaggerate; that the annoying "gotchas" add an element of irritation to the most anticipated of indulgences. However, in this instance I am constrained to both comment and commend. We are fans of beaches, and the idea of going into the mountains of North Carolina for a lakeside retreat was something that fell in place when other things didn't. The trip there, from Atlanta, was frankly a bit underwhelming...and we were prepared to be equally underwhelmed by the accomodations. However, on arrival, we were stunned. I've built buildings, and have a pretty good handle on quality construction. My wife has a pretty good eye for interior appointments. We were looking for a typical nicely built camper cabin and instead-both of us found completely high end details at every turn, in a lakeside chalet complete with views that stopped time. It was just two of us, but we could have brought our family of six and stayed completely lost from each other for days. I'm not sure whether the wine on the back deck watching the sun set over the mountains; or coffee and reading in the chairs by the fireplace; or walking on the dock listening to the sound of the wind on the waters; or grilling a couple of salmon for a quiet evening; or staying a little too long in the whirlpool tub with a book were each individually any more relaxing than the other...but the combination was the environmental equivalent of a warm stone massage. I'm a gadget guy, and having the internet and 200 channels of stuff available was very important the first hour we arrived...less so a couple of days later...and completely irrelevant by the end of the visit. Be aware that ATT iPhone service is non-existent...which turned out to ultimately be a good thing. I think I have highlighted the indolence, but what made the visit was the opulence. It was hard not to stand before the wall of windows in this multimillion dollar "cabin" looking out over lakes and mountains and not feel relaxed, and blessed, and at peace and incredibly fortunate...traits historically I have not often associated with high end travel. We will return.

We just returned from spending 4-days over the Thanksgiving holiday at your beautiful home with good friends. Our families enjoyed the outdoor fireplace, fishing on the dock, kayaking, the breathtaking views and the amazing furnishings. It was a memorable vacation!! We talked about coming back in the summer before even leaving!
