After reviewing the endless descriptions and photos of the many different options on the island, I finally found Sandra's place. It was exactly what I was looking for but did not know it until I found it. Then I looked at the interior photos literally dozens of other units at Kamaole Sands. This was far and away the best of them. I was truly excited to see it in person. It was everything and more than my family and I expected. The description of location, view, and accouterments is fully accurate the property description and the reviews that are all you need to know. Spot on! Sandra (owner) and the staff at K/S are attentively deliberate in providing all one needs. The photos shown here are the real deal. My photos look just like hers. Note: it even has her beautiful family photos tastefully and loving placed around. Having well traveled the island and exploring its offerings in person, I have utterly no regret in my choice of stay. In fact, I spent many hours thinking and shopping real estate in various towns there. I worked many numbers and shopped the units at Kamaole Sands that were for sale. Sandra indeed has THE BEST unit (not even including its perfect decor). I finally concluded that because Sandra has the best unit, and her obvious love for it, I could never afford to pry it away from her or her family. So we will have to be content to visit her unit until I find something else, perhaps Sedona Arizona. So now its borrow Sandra's place in Maui and own a place almost as nice ? In Sedona ? Prescott? PS: Take advantage of the local tourist magazines and hand made notebook, by main TV and stereo system, it has many very helpful and thoughtful pages of information, including local radio stations and restaurant listings. Not expecting it, I discovered it a little too late.

Perfect Location!

My family and I stayed at here from August 28th to September 8th, 2012. We were a party of 5. Lots of space! We loved it. It is the perfect location, close to everything and has everything you may need. The ocean view is spectacular from the lanai and the condo complex is very well kept. We would definately stay here again and would recommend it to our friends and family. The Mai Tai party at the pool on Wednesday's is great with live Hawaiian enterntainment. The staff at Expedia at the pool side were very helpful in setting up any excursions we wanted to do. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to say. It was amazing that you didn't need the air conditioner. The breeze coming in from the lanai and front door was fabulous and kept us cool and comfortable. We like to have the internet readily available so we brought our own router and it worked perfectly. The grounds are beautiful! The Condo is in great shape, they have started some upgrades which is nice. Thanks Sarah, we had a great family vacation and see why you chose Maui as your winter vacation place! Mahalo!

A wonderful vacation condo

Sarah's condo at Kamaole Sands is wonderful. It is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and has every amenity you could possible want. Also the location can't be beat. From the balcony there's a full view of the park like property followed by the ocean. There is a small reef directly across the street at Kamaole III beach where I snorkeled daily. In the afternoons my wife, son, and I took advantage of the spacious pool and adjacent jacuzzi's. It is also close to many restaurants so dining was never a problem. Without question should we return to Kihei this is where we will stay.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Kamaole Sands is a great family friendly place in a great location and Sarah's condo is in a great spot, not too close to the road and not too close to the pool noise. We enjoyed the views from the lanai and the short walk to the beach. The condo is nicely decorated and very well equipped. We would certainly stay here again. The photos very accurately depict this condo.

Beautiful, quiet, and convenient

My wife, daughter and I spent the holiday season in Maui and had a great experience thanks in large part to staying in this beautiful, quiet, and convenient condo in the Kamaole Sands Resort. The resort itself has beautfiul gardens, great pool, exercise and tennis facilities and is quiet & convenient to Kihei beaches, shops and restaurants. The condo itself was extremely comfortable and relaxing with stunning sunrises over the mountains and sunsets over the ocean visible clearly from the lanai, well-appointed kitchen easy to cook in, nice bathrooms, updated televisions in living room and two bedrooms, not to mention tasteful artwork throughout. Mahalo!!!

The Perfect Spot

We just spent two weeks in this unit. What a perfect location. Within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, great snorkeling beaches. Many days, we didn't use the car at all. This unit has the most beautiful view of quiet gardens and the ocean sunsets, with beautiful sunrises over Mt Haleakala. With the well appointed kitchen, it is easy to cook-in. Kamaole Sands has great outdoor cooking facilities where you meet other guests as you prepare dinner. Very friendly. We were amazed how quiet eveyone was. We never heard loud voices day or night. Wonderful restaurants all around. Just a short drive south at Makena Landing was one of the best ever snorkeling expeiences with giant green sea turtles. We were able to make all our activity plans through the services of Kamaole Sands. heir advice was excellent, and it saved alot of work for us. Of all the places we saw in Kihei, we liked Kamaole Sands best.

Wonderful condo and a great vacation

Our family just returned from Maui a couple of days ago, and this condo was a wonderful home base for us during our visit. The unit was on the top floor, with a wonderful view of the ocean and the beautiful Kamaole Sands grounds. Gentle breezes made the temperature comfortable day and night. The condo was very nicely decorated, and supplied with everything that we needed including beach chairs and boogie boards, tennis rackets, books, and even games. The kitchen was very well supplied with dishes and cookware, and a blender for great fruit smoothies. We walked on the beachfront trail every morning, and even walked to the boat launch for our snorkel trip to Molokini. Kamaole III beach is lovely and very close for a quick dip. This place was perfect--we would return to Kamaole Sands and this unit in a heartbeat!

This is a great Condo and a great Complex. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. It was also very clean when we walked in. You can tell the staff at Kamaole Sands does a great job inside and out of the complex as the building itself and grounds are in superb shape. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The complex itself is one of the most sought after which we found out quickly when people asked where we were staying and after telling them heard only comments of how they tried to get in there aswell but it was already booked. We have no complaints and the fact that we would definetly stay there again ourselves should say it all.

We just returned from this beautiful Condo! Thank you so much for a lovely 8 night stay! Your Condo was everything we could have wanted and more. The location for the pool, bbq's and beach were great! This was our first real family vacation and I know it went well because my husband was able to finally relax! Our 10 and 6 year old daughters loved having their own room and TV. You have a very well stocked Condo and we really appreciated that! And the location in Kihei was perfect for us because we attended my nieces wedding at the Fairmont so we didn't have far to go yet we could still walk to the shops in Kihei. We were very impressed at how well kept the grounds were. And that the maintenence came around every morning to clean the BBQ's, that was awesome! You can really tell they take pride in the grounds. Oh and also I wanted to mention how nice the breeze is that comes into your place. It was nice to never have to use the AC! I was worried about how warm it was going to be, but you really have a wonderful location that gets lots of breezes and does not have to deal with the afternoon sun heating up the place. And the fan over the bed in the Masterbedroom made for very comfortable sleeping. Thank you for such a wonderful time... we are already trying to figure out when we can go back! For anyone visiting... Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lahaina is a must! plus, plan on visiting the Crater, the IOA Needle, and Molikini! With such a great pool area it was hard for us to talk our daughters in heading out on day trips, but once we got there they had fun... as long as we always came back to the pool or the ocean.

My wife , 15 year old boy , 9 year old daughter and I just returned from a 12 day stay in this unit and let me tell you it couldnt be better. We have stayed in another unit at the same complex before and it pales in comparison . The cleanliness was great, well stocked and conviently located both in relationship to the beach and the pool. The barbeque grills were always very clean and everyone at the front office were very friendly. We would highly recommend this unit for anyone.

We stayed in this condo last month during Xterra World Chamiopnships. It is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The floor plan afforded us lots of privacy and accommodates different sleep schedules. The grounds are lush and the pool is well maintained and supervised. The washer and drier came in handy with two athletes who used a lot of gear. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some---small appliances, baking pans, matching dishes, glassware and silver! We could have cooked and served Thanksgiving dinner! We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the view. The sunrises and sunsets were awesome and the beach is just across the street. Sara was prompt and helpful in arranging our stay. Stay here if you are looking for accommodations that are exactly as pictured and described on VRBO!

Stayed in the condo for my daughter's wedding in early July. Our first visit to Maui and the condo was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable, great view and ocean breeze, wonderful amenities at Kamaole Sands. The travel office by the pool was particularly helpful in planning our activities after the wedding. Sarah is great to work with - very responsive to all our questions. The beach accessories came in very handy. Access to beach across the street was easy - a nice walking trail along the beach. I would recommend this location in Kihei and this owner/unit to anyone.

We had a party of five and thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this nicely renovated condominium. Sarah was quick to respond to any email inquiries, and did a great job of showing the condo through the website. As added bonuses, building two has what is perhaps Kamaole Sands's best view of the ocean and grounds, and with the lanai screened open there is an almost constant breeze that truly does eliminate the need for A/C. I would recommend this unit to anyone, but particularly those seeking a relaxing and hassle free vacation spot with all the amenities.

The owners condo was exactly as advertised with no surprises. We loved the location of the condo to everything in Kihei. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The unit was very well furnished and we appreciated all of the beach stuff we had to use. Thanks again for a great time!

Just returned from a week long stay, and had a fabulous time. The condo was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. A very lovely Condo, very convenient to the beach, the pool, the barbeque grills. Walking distants to the shops and restaurants. The condo was very well equiped and clean. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Maui.

We just spent from 7/24/07-8/7/07 in this unit with our 3 and 5 year old children. It was wonderful. Great access to the pool, barbecue and the beach. Maui was so packed with things to do for all of us - surfing lessons, the volcano, Hana, beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants (Mama's Fish House, Capische?, Sorrentos were all fabulous). This unit was a great home base. We were there for a wedding and there were about 20 other relatives all at Kamaole Sands. Great place for a family reunion. The unit was clean and pretty well equipped. We had a wonderful time. Thank You!

We just got back from staying for a week in your lovely condo in Maui. We wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely wonderful time. Last year we stayed in 10-XXX and your unit has better beach access, better pool access, and better bbq access, not to mention a great parking place. Your beautiful condo exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent it. My family has already started lobbying for a two week stay next year. So I am sure we will be in touch. If you have any other jaded Californians who are hesitant to rent through a private party we would be happy if you wanted to use us as a reference.

Dear Sarah: Thank you for sharing your beautiful home at Kamaole Sands. We had a great time. We were a bit disappointed that the pool was out of commission, but we spent more time at the beach. The cool breezes that pass through the area eliminated the need for A/C. We enjoyed making use of the kitchen and lanai. The grounds were also beautiful and relaxing. Thanks again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Your place is upgraded very nicely and the mirrors make it look and feel so big. The trade winds were very pleasant and blow through so excellantly. I will recommend your place to our friends and it does have a gorgeous view. We had a really wonderful time....thank you again and we hope to be able to use your room again if it is available.
