This unique destination was formerly a professional hunting plantation known as the Hurricane Plantation and was one of the select hunting lodges in the United States to be endorsed by Orvis for its excellent amenities and hunting. While the name has changed the amenities remain the same. Blackwater Plantation rests on a 110 acres of gently rolling hills in the middle of the Blackwater River State Forest. You will be surrounded by over 190,000 acres of one of the largest state forests in Florida and the largest contiguous ecological community of this type in the world.
When you stay at the Plantation you will have exclusive use of the lodge, property, and all the amenities. This is the perfect escape for families, friends, or corporate retreats. Blackwater Plantation has a two acre lake next to the lodge stocked with bass, bream, shell cracker and tilapi, while the 29 acre lake, a short walk away, is teaming with tournament size bass. Expect to see plenty of wildlife such as white-tailed deer, turkey, bobcats and plenty of birds. In fact the lodge sits along the Florida Scenic Trail and the Great Florida Birding Trail.
The Plantation offers rest and relaxation that comes with such a location, but for those in your group that want a little more action then the Plantation is perfect for hunting, especially Quail; skeet shooting; fishing; canoing in the Plantation lakes; or canoing down the nearby Blackwater River with it white sandy shores. For those of you who Quail Hunt we can arrange hunts on the Plantation with dogs provided for an additional fee or bring your own dogs and we will supply the birds. For you horse lovers there are stalls to keep your horses in at the barn next to the lodge and there is plenty of riding available at the lodge or on the horse trails in the Blackwater River State Forest.
Blackwater Plantation and Retreat is also conveniently located such that spending a day at the beach or going deep sea fishing is only a 30 minute drive away. Don't go for the ordinary make your next outing special and one to remember by visiting the Blackwater Plantation and Retreat.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
$1500/3 nights .. (3 night minimum stay required)
$2500/week ...... (One week stay of 6 nights)
Includes Cleaning Fee; No smoking is allowed
A deposit equal to half the amount of your stay is due within 7 days of booking.
Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival;day of booking if arrival is sooner.
A $500.00 damage deposit/excess cleaning deposit is due upon reservation.
Canellations less than 90 days prior to arrival but more than 31 days a fee of one
night rent is due. No refund for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival.
