I rented this house for 3 nights after Christmas (12-27 check in check out 12-30). The kitchen was well equiped and we found everything we needed or wanted including an perfect roasing pan for our Prime Rib. The house is very comfortably furnished. the dining room was large enough for the 10 of us to eat in, the back porch was great for pool and a puzzle project and the living room was very comfortable. The backyard was very nice and though it isn't the time of year for an abundance of flowers was clean and well kept and everyone enjoyed at least a little time outside. We enjoyed a couple close-by restuarants and the men road bikes to Capitola. The abundance of clean white towels was a treat. Plenty of parking out front. I have recommended it to others at work. We would stay again. The only negative is like another reviewer a couple matresses need replacing.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Joanna Crimmins date of stay Dec. 27-30 Thank you for your kind review. Just a note the matresses have been upgraded thanks again, and hoping you will come back Betty

We stayed at the farmhouse for 3 nights and 4 days this past summer. Our older kids loved the covered patio room and playing pool. The younger kids were outside constantly and loved running around everywhere. The inside was comfortable. The kitchen worked for us but was a bit disorganized. I would say that the house sleeps ten comfortably. A few of the mattresses should be replaced as well. Some of the families had difficulty sleeping because of the mattresses and one even switched to their air mattress they brought because the mattresses were so bad. The couch/bed in the play room has a bar in the middle that makes it uncomfortable. An air mattress was put over that. Other than that we had a great stay. It is very close to the old down town of Capitola and just a few minutes from Santa Cruz as well. We had a relaxing time while we were there.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My quilting group booked the farm house for our annual quilting retreat. We stayed for 7 wonderful days. Although there were only 10 of us we could have brought a couple more people. We had space on the covered patio (really it is a big long room) to set up our sewing machines and enjoyed the living room as a place we could go read and still be part of the group. It felt very much like home. The backyard was beautiful and we enjoyed high tea out there everyday. The house was close to stores, Starbucks and a great quilt store! Betty was wonderful to work with and made our stay very comfortable! We loved it sooo much we have already book the house for next year.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My mom and sister rented this house for my bachelorette weekend in June. The property was absolutely amazing and had everything you could possibly want or need. Such a quiet relaxing location, about a 20 minute walk down to Capitola...although it was a bit difficult to leave the house! We had 8 women and there was definitely space for a few more of us. I would recommend this place for a group of women, couples of families. It was absolutely perfect!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The pictures do not begin to show how wonderful the house and gardens are. We had the most delightful family holiday reunion here. There was plenty of room for our entire extended family including our dogs. The amenities are outstanding and the terraced backyard overlooking the creek is out of a magazine. We said Wow! when we saw it. The owner made us feel completely comfortable. The house truly felt like home. There were activities for the broad range of ages in our group nearby. Or you could stay in with a good book in front of the fireplace. The town of Soquel is an antiquer's paradise. The Ugly Mug has great coffee and Aldo's Bakery make fabulous breads and pastries. Several of us went to Caress Day Spa for a most relaxing experience. Capitol is on the beach with lots of boutiques and good restaurants with Zelda's being one we went to twice. Santa Cruz is nearby with its Boardwalk, beach and downtown shopping. Rosie's Irish Pub has many beers on tap and good food to go with them. Monterey is down the road with the Aquarium for kids of all ages. Pebble Beach and the 17 Mile Drive is worth the price of admission for the breathtaking scenery. Carmel is a cozy village with a dog friendly beach and wonderful shops and restaurants.Pepe's has delightfully old world Italian food and atmosphere. We recommend this rental for groups of all ages or for special events. The back yard is ideal for weddings and parties. It was the perfect setting for our vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
