As huge holiday fans, we are decking the halls this year at the cottage. If you are looking for the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas, or just a Winter Get-Away to get you in the Christmas Spirit look no farther! On top of having the house in a jolly attire, we will give you a $50 Kroger Gift Card for Staying with us to help pay for the Turkey or Ham. On top of that, we always work on our rates and try to be flexible of last minute deals. We understand that there are hard times and we like to share our home with you to get you a break from your normal everyday lives.
As a growing operation, Sunny Side Up would like to thank all of the renters that have stayed with us! When you pull up to Sunny Side Up, you will notice a bright and cheery cottage that will make for your perfect get away! The fresh looking home boasts a cozy feeling, with its sunny yellow paint and white cottage shutters, it gives a very memorable first impression. The lush green yard and intermediate landscaping are the perfect touch to an already great home.
The cozy feeling doesn't stop with the exterior, as soon as you punch in your code and enter the home you will be amazed! With its warm wood paneling and comfortable feeling, Sunny Side Up is the perfect place to hide out from your busy life. The front room features two futons, the perfect combination for living and sleeping. It also features a generously sized TV wih Dish Network, VCR Player, DVD Player, and PS2. The PS2 is also compatible with the new SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM!
Moving into the next living area, you will notice a plaid sofa and love seat, the perfect place to watch your favorite episode of CSI in HD that you DVRed while you were at Cedar Point. Off the "formal living room" is a casual master bedroom. The master comes fully loaded with creame carpeting and lush silk bedding. There is also a linens closet off of the living room that has some toys that the little ones will love.
Moving on into the kitchen you will see appealing "stone like" laminate floors that are the perfect back drop for the maple dining table and oak kitchen cabinets. It is fully stocked for all your cooking needs on the perfect vacation that you will remember forever!
Past the kitchen is a sititng area and then the warm bathroom. With the bathrooms dark floor, scrumptious chocolate walls, and white accents, it is the perfect place to freshen your look after that long fishing trip.
Arlington Drive, where the home is located, is a private street. The association features a stone fishing pier and a private sandy beach. The small beach also offers a private swimming area in the great Lake Erie.
Sunny Side Up is very close to the scenic downtown Marblehead filled with shops and restaurants. Port Clinton (with a 24 hour Wal-Mart) is a close 10 minute Drive. Cedar Point and Sandusky are only 30 minutes away. Monsoon Lagoon, an outdoor water park, is only 5 minutes away.
Our dock is also available for rent at an additional amount.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1960
We aquired this home when my great-grandparents purchased it in the lats 1950's or early 1960's. They bought it as a shcak and built it into the cute cottage it is today. At first, they were weekenders like us going up to get away from the stres of their everyday lives, but after the loss of my Aunt in a plane crash their moved their full time to start fresh. We received the home in the late 90's when we moved them into one of our properties in the Columbus Suburbs to be closer to us. All though not our style, we keep the cottage as a cottage. It doesn't have to be modern like our home, but a fun place to escape to when the stress of owning your own businesses. With my great grandmothe just passing away in October, I realize that we owe them thanks for what they have built us...a fun, cute, cozy cottage to escape reality and take a chill from what really exists.
With Special Thanks and Remembrance to my Loving Great Grandma and Grandpa Kelley, we miss you guys, but know you are always with us!
