Koinania Valley Ranch House is situated on 110 Privately Owned acres surrounded by Mark Twain National Forest. This location is convenient for Seeing The Sights being only 25-35 minutes to State Parks, Floating the Black River and Horse Back Riding. Visit Johnson Shut Ins, Elephant Rocks, Fort Davidson, Taum Sauk, Council Bluff Lake and Dillard's Mill. The owners, Duane and Mary, live just across the driveway and are on hand to give tours of the property and answer any questions you may have. Plan an All Inclusive Girls Getaway or your next Group Float Trip on the Black River or Family Reunion and take advantage of Additional Lodging offered and Catered Meals as well.
You don't have to leave the grounds of Koinania to have a Great Time! If you rent the whole ranch then your Children and Grandchildren will enjoy the Rustic Playhouse where they can play Laura from Little House on the Prairie or Daniel Boone. They will have a fantastic time with the Closets stocked with Books, Games and Toys and Dress Up Clothes providing them hours of Old Fashioned Imaginative Fun! The Campfire Areas are ready for you and we even supply the firewood! You may also enjoy Fishing in our Small Stocked Lake. There is an Extensive Library of Family and Children DVDs.

- Linens Provided : You make up the beds you will be using with the clean, fresh bed sheets, quilts and blankets provided. All bath towels, washcloths, kitchen linens also provided. Guests need to bring their own swim towels for use at the river area.

- Convertible Bed : One of the Living rooms has a double size hide a bed.

- Private Pool : This is a natural pool, God made! The river area just 1/4 mile up the road has 1/2 mile of water frontage. It has a large gravel bar and perfect for small children to play and explore in the shallow areas and other deeper pools invite the swimmers to float around and play in the crystal clear running waters.

- Full Kitchen : The Main larger country kitchen is decorated in nostalgic antiques and features a large harvest table with an old church bench which I refinished and it can accommodate up to 6 or 7 people plus chairs to seat at least 10 or 12 There is also a second kitchen which can accommodate another 6 people.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : 2-3 coffee pots, 2 microwaves, extra toasters, 2 crock pots, waffle irons, electric griddle and large cooking pans and table settings for large groups.

- Charcoal BBQ Grill : Weber grills plus a gas grill if needed.
- Deck/Patio : There is a wrap around deck with patio tables and ample seating as well as a covered porch with tables and chairs.
- Gazebo (2) : Not quite a gazebo but wasn't sure where to put this....Two Playhouses!!! We built them Spring 2011 and the children have great fun playing in them!
- View/Location
- Lake View : The East side of the Ranch House faces the small private lake (1 acre in size) but big in fun! It's stocked with Bass, Bluegill and Crappie. There is also a paddle boat for our guests to use.
- Mountain View : On the South and West side of the wrap around deck you can take in the surrounding beauty of the pastures and hills. Watch the cattle and horse graze, see the hummingbirds drinking nectar, and relax.

2012 Rates/In-Season Thurs before Memorial Day through Tuesday after Labor Day.
Weekend- Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun $525 per night...Weekday nights $430 each...Week/$2500
Off Season- $350 per night weekend, $225 per night weekday, $1600/weekly
Rate includes 16 people. Sleeps/21. 2 Night Minimum
Extra adults $20 per person per night. Security deposit of $300 required.
Additional lodging on site for large groups. Ask about current discounts!!

Camping allowed with rental of House for overflow guests. RV hookups.
