The spacious living room and dining room provide amazing views of ever-changing Lake Erie, from Cedar Point and the islands to Vermilion, Ohio. On the first floor is a fully furnished kitchen, dining room, living room, mud room and half bath to meet the needs of active, vacationing families. Upstairs, the private bedrooms have finished hardwood floors. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a single hide-a-way, the second bedroom has a double bed, the third has two single beds and the loft has a single bed. The full modern bathroom has a full size tub/shower. Air conditioning, wireless internet and new carpet have been installed for summer 2008. The large lakefront yard is on two levels with a large deck, comfortable outdoor, lawn furniture and a fire ring. Lake access on site for fishing and swimming. Clean, mile-long sandy beach two miles away. A sandbox and tree swing are available for younger children. Located on a private lane in "Hartley Beach". Ideally located in "Vacationland, Ohio." Enjoy all your favorite activities in the breezes of Lake Erie. Past renters say that the views, comfortable furnishings and cleanliness of our home exceeded their expectations. One hour from Cleveland and 20 minutes from the Sandusky area; home to Cedar Point and the new Kalahari waterpark (day passes available). Come and make memories you and your family will treasure. VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/27/2003 - on site review: This Lake Erie cottage is in a super location for anyone who is vacationing in northern Ohio. The cottage sits peacefully on the shore of Lake Erie and is located just off of Highway 6. It is just a few miles from Cedar Point, home to the biggest collection of super coasters in the USA! If roller coasters are not your thing, then don't worry, you have Lake Erie right in your own backyard. If you are into Summer fun, just rent a boat or jet ski and hit the water for some cool fun. This vacation cottage has plenty of room for a little bear and his travelling buddies. All three of us had a bedroom of our own and there was even an extra bed in the loft. We had a full kitchen to cook up a meal for a hungry bear, and a dining room that looked out over the lake. What a beautiful view!!! At night we enjoyed the sound of the waves hitting against the shore as well as "kicking back" in front of the TV and watching a movie. The comfortable living room had a fireplace and was equipped with a television and DVD-VCR player. Our hosts made us feel right at home. They were there to greet us when we arrived and even brought us fresh peaches (which a bear really loves) and several ears of corn, fresh out of the garden. We've never gotten that kind of service from the Holiday Inn. So whether you want a quiet relaxing place to escape to, or a fun filled adventure, it's all right here on Ohio's north coast. You can fish the week away, play golf, boat, ski, or head down the highway to Cleveland and take in an Indians baseball game, or visit my favorite, the "Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame."
