If you are looking for a rental for four weeks or more in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood, this is a great choice. Enjoy a Kama`aina (local) experience at this mountain-view cottage, located adjacent to historic Parker Ranch, close to some of the Big Island's best restaurants, and only a short drive from world famous Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches. In beautiful uplands at the 2500 feet elevation, you may enjoy sunny 80 degree days on the lanai, and cool nights in front of the fireplace. Fabulous view of three mountains!
This is the perfect Waimea town location: on the border between the wetter "green" side of Waimea and the sunnier "dry" side. The cottage is on the edge of a small, quiet subdivision: out the picture window in the living room is a panoramic view of the rolling pasture-lands of Parker Ranch, with magnificent Mauna Kea rising beyond, and two other volcanoes visible to the west . It's an awe-inspiring view, yet, in the other direction, you are only a five-minute walk from shops and the live arts programs at Kahilu Theatre.
Enjoy resort-style amenities in a beautifully furnished, comfortable home: bamboo floors, remote controlled gas fireplace, 32" flatscreen TV, top-quality mattresses, pima cotton sheets and hypo-allergenic comforters, spa soaking tub with jets, well-equipped kitchen.
Our two-story cottage has two bedrooms (each with adjoining baths) upstairs and a large solarium room furnished with a desk set up for internet access, and a single bed. There is a half bath off the downstairs living room, as well as a laundry room with an extra shower (perfect for hanging up bathing suits!) It is our second home (we live an hour away) and we maintain it with loving care.
High--Speed Internet access, free long distance telephone calls, off-street parking, and twice weekly rubbish pick up are included with this rental along with use of Owner Clubhouse, with gym and sauna. BBQ, beach towels and beach chairs provided.
Waimea is about forty minutes from the airport at Kailua-Kona, and only fifteen minutes from such famous beaches as Mauna Kea and Hapuna.

We are a residential contractor and a writer/photographer. We bought the cottage with the idea of eventually retiring to Waimea, since we love the town (with its great places to eat!) and love to snorkel and swim at all the great beaches nearby.

We were lucky enough to rent this place for the month of November, 2011. Pam and Peter have created a wonderful, warm (as in cosy but not cutesie) getaway spot. It has lovely views of Parker Ranchlands and Mauna Kea from the living room and master bedroom, and it's a quick walk to town for a meal out or shopping or wonderful art. We enjoyed having it as a home base for our leisurely exploration of all of the Big Island and would highly recommend it to anyone!

This cottage has the best views of Parker Ranch and Mauna Kea of the entire complex. The owners are very friendly and helpful if any problems arise.The house was very clean and the complex was very well maintained. Our stay in Wiamea this year had more rain than we experienced last winter, so the remote-controlled fireplace was definitely a plus. Nice can opener, too.

Wonderfully peaceful home with panoramic views of Mauna Kea and Parker Ranch gives you the feeling you are in the country. Yet, it's only a 10 minute walk to shopping, restaurants, and coffee! This house is the best of both worlds, clean and neat with no clutter, all the necessary amenities, and set in a very well maintained neighborhood. The neighborhood work-out room was a plus too. At 2500 ft elevation it is 10-15 degrees cooler than either coast in the summer with frequent rainbows and cooling breezes. And it is less than 30 minutes drive to the beautiful Kohala Coast and conveniently located for easy day trips to any other part of the island.

Beautiful views of ranch lands, Mauna Kea and other volcanoes from large picture windows on two floors. Very quiet and modern unit on southern edge of Waimea/Kamuela town which is located at over 2500 feet elevation. We enjoyed the cooler temperatures and fireplace, but could be at the Kona side beaches in less than a half hour. Highly recommend it.
