This house was amazing! We LOVED the huge, open kitchen, and gathering space. The bathrooms were spacious and new. The hot tub felt great after hiking up to Observation Point! The fire pit was easy to use and we enjoyed making s'mores at night. Everything was stone and wood. I have no complaints at all. :)

The house was nice and I especially loved the kitchen. Some of the utensils left something to be desired, with pots and pans that were obviously very old and sued. But it was a nice large kitchen. The master bedroom was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable for me (and my not-so-great back). I didn't use the hot-tub although the other couple that stayed with us did once. Although it was appreciated that the owners sprayed for pests, the smell of it was a bit overpowering the evening that it was done. And it was farther away from the park than we thought from the description. However, it was still a pleasant stay. If we do this again, we will try to get something closer to the park.

Spent a week here in January with 3 friends. The space was inviting, the location perfect for a Zion day-hiking vacation, and the hot tub fantastic (used it every night!). Only room for improvement is some of the kitchen equipment (knives, pans), which was a big deal for us as we cooked all our meals here. Given the responsiveness we got from the owners (knowing we needed it, they got WIFI installed before we arrived), that will probably be fixed soon.
Owner response:Sharp knives are coming soon. Things at a home that is used by vacationers do tend to wear out. Thanks for the response.

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our stay between Christmas and New Years. It was a wonderful base for trips to Zion National Park. The night sky views from the hot tub were spectacular! As avid DIYers we appreciated the craftmanship of the home's many nice finishes. One disappointment was that the hot tub was nearly empty and 54 degrees upon our arrival. After speaking with Aaron we filled it, chemically treated it several times and waited until the next morning when it was warm enough to use. One suggestion I would have for Jenny and Aaron is to place a few board games in their ample cabinets. Those who travel far to such locations may not have space to pack such things. Overall, the home is great in a beautiful and convenient location.
Owner response:Board games are on the way. Thanks

The house is amazing, and we truly enjoyed our stay. It is very close to Zion National Park, and there are beautiful views from the house. The hot tub was a definite plus and it was so nice to relax in after a day of hiking through Zion Canyon. Unfortunately a couple of things kept this from being a perfect experience: 1. Communication with the owners (and between the owners themselves) left something to be desired. One owner quoted me a price, and the other charged my card a different (higher) price. It took several emails back and forth to get them to refund the difference and honor the original price. 2. The contract that I signed indicated that the cleaning deposit was refundable. There was also a binder in the house that included a checklist of cleaning chores that must be completed in order to get your deposit refunded. We spent an hour on the day of our checkout going through that checklist and cleaning the house. After our stay, several weeks went by and I never saw the deposit refund. So I emailed the owners and was basically told, "Woops, we must have sent you an old contract. That's not refundable." Right. So my advice to future renters would be don't waste your time cleaning -- you're not getting your "deposit" back. I know this review sounds negative, but notice I did give the property 4 stars. It was truly a beautiful place to stay, and I would consider staying there again. I just want anyone who is considering renting this home to know what I didn't know, before they make their decision.
Owner response:A quick response to this review. Our contract simply states that if renters leave the house ready for the next group to arrrive, then the cleaning fee will be refunded. This means linens washed and beds made. Towells washed and folded, etc. After inspecting the home it was determined that it was necessary to pay for our cleaning person to get the house ready for the next group to arrive. We appreciate the hour of cleaning, but more had to be done to have the house in great shape.

This is a lovely property which served our family very well. We enjoyed our stay here. It was easily located, clean and well appointed. Location was excellent for our daily visits to Zion. House was well stocked for all our needs. We particularly enjoyed sitting out each evening by the gas fire pit and star gazing from the front courtyard. We only had a minor problem which was quickly addressed by the owner. The only thing I can suggest would be small plates or saucers to use for late night snacks.. There is, however an abundance of dinner sized plates. I would recommend the property to anyone who is visiting the area. It was a great house.

A group of four of us stayed at this house in September, and it was excellent! The house was spacious, clean and offered fantastic views in every direction. It is in a great, safe area and the pictures hardly do it justice. Each bedroom was roomy and the three baths were nice. The living room with large tv was a nice touch. The fully furnished kitchen makes cooking your own meals very easy. We hit the hiking trails everyday and came back and cooked each night. There is an awesome outdoor space, and the gas firepit was a nice way to wind down the day. The view of the stars is like nothing I have ever seen. There was also a gas grill, an indoor fire place and a hot tub...we didnt get a chance to use them but they were there! This house was a great find and I highly recommend it to anyone. It is very close to Zion Nat'l park and Springdale. This is a great house and reasonably priced for all the space and extras that come with it. We saw rabbits and roadrunners in the back yard! This was a great stay and I would come back and stay again!

This home exceeded by expectations. Spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet, very close to Zion. We were able to go hiking in the morning and go back to the house to escape the afternoon heat and return to the park in the evening. Day trips were possible to Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon North Rim as well. The kids loved playing outside in the back patio. Beautiful views of the sunset from upper deck. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants a great place to stay while visiting this beautiful area.

My group of college girlfriends had our yearly get togethger and we were lucky enough to book this house. There were 10 of us and it was spacious enough that we didn't feel we were tripping over each other all weekend. I would highly reccomend this house any day. Don't hesitate if you are looking for affordable comfort in a beautiful area.

My ladies group stayed here for a retreat and it was COMPLETELY relaxing! Plenty of room for 6 ladies to relax, enjoy one another's company and generally recharge and refuel. The fireplace inside was awesome - it put out alot of heat! The fire pit outside was nice, but we were unable to use it because it was a bit too windy - no matter, we had PLENTY of other things in the house to keep us occupied. the hot tub was a nightly ritual - how wonderful to turn off all thehouse lights, sit in the hot tub and see the amazing stars - it was absolutely breathtaking and spectacular. Everything wasn't just like the pictures - it was more beautiful in person! It was very clean, smelled fresh and we had no maintenance problems of any type. The home was beautifully furnished and had a comfortable, contemporary, relaxing feel. The kitchen was incredible and we loved prepping our meals there. The bathrooms were really neat and had an air of luxury to them. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone wanting a top notch getaway to come to your spa-like home and just soak it all in. Thank you so much and God bless you for providing such a fabulous location for others to enjoy!

The description of the home is great but once you are there it is so much more than described. The photos were great but once more it is so much more. We had a great time enjoyed our stay and if not for the children that had to return to school we would have stayed longer. The home is very well cared for and has everything you would need( I took cookware because of the comments from one of the reviewers and found out that that was not at all necessary). The only thing in the home that did not work was the blender and i think no one has used it or has informed the Smiths of this. We would like to rent this home again in December if it is still available because the home is for SALE. The Smiths are a great couple to work with and were very helpful in renting their gorgeous home. We are looking to go to The Grand Canyon and if this home is not to far from this sight we would like to rent it again. We were sad to see it is for sale because that means that it may be taken of the markekt as a vacation rental. Once again this is more than a Five star rental. I would and have recommended it to other family members and again am interested in renting again to go to Grand Canyon if not to far from this site. The only thing i wish that the Smiths might reconsider is allowing pets(dogs)to stay other than that it is a great place to stay.
Owner response:I am so glad that Rose loved our home and had a great time there. Yes the house does have a "For Sale" sign in the yard. It has been there for 2 years now. Do not be afraid to come here on vacation. It will be available for years to come.

We met another couple there for a week and had a terrific time. The place is just like it was advertised. For the four of us it was VERY ROOMY. Not used to the dry climate but HEY, it's a desert! Although the home is located in a subdivision, there were very few properties surrounding us. Very private atmoshphere at the time of year we went (late October). If we were coming out again we would definatley stay there again.

The house is very clean, spacious, and in excellent condition. Directions to use different things in house were very clear, from the outside gas fireplace, the nice living room with large flat screen TV, and we especially liked the hot tub on the upper front level of the house overlooking the Zion area and the stars at night. Kitchen has the essentials to cook your meals there if you want to bring in your own groceries, and even has a BBQ grill. House is centrally located, about 15 minutes to a number of restaurants in Springdale (Zion entrance) in one direction and stores/restaurants in Hurricane 15 minutes in other direction. There is a market maybe 5-6 miles West of the House called Farmers Market if you don't want to go that far, but some on-line reviews suggested prices were high there. Aaron was extremely easy to work with in setting up the reservation and providing access to the house. (Marc, Shannon, Keith, Stacie)
Owner response:Thanks for the great response. We are so glad that you liked the house and had a great trip. We love this house and you will too.

This was our stop for 3 nights. It has beautiful views, and great location from Zion Nat'l Park and/or town to get supplies for our stay. Aaron was more than accomodating when it came time to check availability and rates for our stay. Everything in the home is clean and beautiful and it was so relaxing here !!! 4 wheeling in the mountains out back of the house was awesome and very reasonable !!! (Thanks Tony) Plenty of neat back roads to explore and nice restaurants near by too. Your stay here will be memorable and enjoyable !!!!! Thanks Aaron
Owner response:Thank you for the response. It was great to have you stay.

Do not judge a book by its' cover holds true to this property. It is located well, yet was not clean, the fire pit did not work and the kitchen was poorly stocked (there was 1 knife)! We did call the owner asking for help with the fire pit, and our call was not returned. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone.
Owner response:I am sorry that Linda B was not completly satisfied with her stay. We did clean the house thoroghly before she came to stay. We do have a folder with instructions on how to use the fire pit. We have never had another group that has not been able to get the fire pit to work. No compalints about the fire pit before they came, nor from any of the groups after Linda stayed. The kitchen does have more than one knife and is well stocked. The knives are in a special "butcher block" type knife holder. I did get the voice message from the group about the fire pit problem 2 days after they had left the house. Every other group, and there have been many, that has come to our vacation rental home has been very happy with it. Take a look at the rest of the comments about our home and you will realize the home is an excellent place to stay. I also gave Linda's group a $75 refund just because they asked for it. I know that I cannot make 100% of our guests happy 100% of the time, but I sure do try my best. This house is amazing, and clean!

We just returned from visiting Zion National Park, and based our stay at this lovely home. It truly was a great place to stay. The home was beautiful, the Smiths were very easy to communicate with, and it was a great location for visiting Southern Utah. I highly recommend this lovely home!

We stayed at this property for a very short two nights (Jan 7& 8, 2012). The location is excellent for day touring Zion NP as well as exploring the surrounding area. It was a quick 15 minute ride into a reasonable grocery store that also sold beer and wine. The views from every window were spectacular; one morning we saw mule deer right outside the house. The house itself is very clean and well maintained - everything worked as described. There were six of us - my husband and I and our two grown children and their significant others - that comfortably stayed at the house. The pictures are a very accurate representation of the house. We used the hot tub at night under the stars as well as the fire pit with no issues. We found the kitchen to be well equipped for our needs including disposable items (garbage bags, paper towels, foil, some spices). There were plenty of sheets and towels available in the well stocked laundry room. There were not a lot of other folks around in the small development - looks like these were vacation or weekend homes, so in that sense it's a bit isolated. But the house was easy to find and immediately off the main road. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Aaron, we had a fabulous time at your beautiful home. We went horseback riding at the ranch across the street from your home, and we had a great time. The day we spent ATV riding with you and our family was also a big highlight. One day we signed up for a day of canyoneering with the Zion Adventure Company , which was only 10 minutes from the house, and our whole family had a fabulous time. At the end of a long day of adventure, it was alway nice to come back to your beautiful home, relax and and stargaze while sitting in the hot tub. Aaron, you were great to deal with and we can't wait until our next visit to your home and Zion National Park. Thank you!
