Location: Albany, Vermont, USA (6 Miles from Craftsbury, 30 Miles North of Stowe)
Accommodations: Farm House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)
The house at Echodale farm sits comfortably at the edge of a tree lined pasture. Beyond the trees rolling hills give way to beautiful mountain views to the South and West. It's on a quiet country road between the village of South Albany and Hartwell Pond. Autumn on a farm in the heart of the North East Kingdom is pure magic. There's a calm that settles in after the hustle and bustle of Spring and Summers work. The fire wood is put up. The fields are freshly groomed with their sweet smelling bounty put up the barn. The freezer is chock full of vegetables from the garden and fresh farm raised beef, pork and chicken. The root cellar stuffed with potatoes, turnips and carrots. The Canada geese linger for weeks in a nearby pond. They fly just above the trees every morning and evening to the corn fields honking incessantly about their long journey ahead. The days are warm and the nights cool and crisp. With an evening fire in the stove, it's a time to reflect and give thanks.
Echodale is a small pasture-raised beef, pork and chicken farm that offers an opportunity to participate in daily farm activities or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
My name is Tom Rowell. I'm fourth generation here at Echodale farm. My Great Grandparents bought it as a retirement farm in 1921 after their eldest son took over the family farm nearby. My Grandmother moved here with them as a teenager, Once grown she married my Grandfather in this living room and moved to the farm next door. My Great Grandparents lived here until 1948. Next an Aunt and Uncle lived here until the mid fifties. In the late fifties my Grandparents, after raising their family and my father took over the family farm moved back here with their youngest daughter. My Grandmother lived here until the late eighties. I grew up coming to this house, with about forty cousins, for all of the Christian Holidays. Along with Thanksgiving of course and a forth of July party that I eventually inherited. I bought the farm in a state of disrepair in 1993 and have spent the last sixteen years restoring it. It's a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land and it is meant to be shared.
