Our house is a half block from all this convenience and excitement, plus you are just around the block to step down to the Washington DC Metro/ Subway system that will take you to the most important part of the world, the Nation's Capital, also to the city center, tourist area, museums, suburbs, and the outlying area of the region. Columbia Heights Station is only 3 stations from DC Convention Center, and five stops from the USA federal area. No transfer needed on the Green Line.
This is truly a home away from home with all the convenience and essentials to prepare many good meals during your stay. Its decor will relax you. HDTV programs can be viewed from the 50 inch plasma TV with 5.1 surround sound while doing your chores in the kitchen. We boast this well designed 1,300 square feet house and its floor plan to have plenty of functional space for its occupants enjoyment.
The two bedrooms en-suite will give you the privacy needed. We can accommodate eight in your family or group. Queen size beds are in each bedroom, with a Bunk bed in one of them, each room with its LCD HDTV. Very comfortable pull out sofa in open area. Identical updated bathrooms in each bedroom with jetted tubs to refresh you every day of your stay. Plus a powder room for the extra occupant's convenience.
In the Open kitchen, dining and living room area, there is a desk space devoted to office work, computer terminal with wifi connection. A Washer and Dryer utility room for your laundry chores.
There are two HDMI DVD for those Movie Craving moments without fighting over what to watch. Land line telephones in each room for clear talks, free local calls and free calls to Canada and USA
Leading from the open living area's sliding doors is the 15 feet by 20 feet deck for lounging when the sky is blue and the temperature is right.

We have stayed in this condo for 9 days and have really enjoyed out visit. It is very convenient to the metro which we found extremely visitor friendly. The people in the area were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Location alone would bring us back to this property. Steps to a bus stop and to the Metro. We flew to DC so we didn't need the parking spot but we would leave our car here had we brought one because the whole city is accessible without driving. The owners don't have room in their VRBO write-up to extol all the virtues of the neighborhood. We were well supported before our arrival, greeted at the door by a helpful gentleman with the keys, and within minutes this was our home for a week and we were out doing our tourism. We looked forward to returning to this home every evening...usually with a stop at a neighborhood place on the way. We started every morning well rested. We can't wait to get back.

The listing and photo description were very accurate. The apartment was very clean and recently renovated. Jim was very prompt with answering any questions via email, text and cell. I would definately recommend this property to everyone. I do business once or twice a year in DC and always stay at VRBOs, better price than hotels and much more living space. This 2 BR unit has them all beat. Easily sleeps 8, full kitchen, high speed internet (wired and wireless), 2 blocks to the Metro, next to the mall, 4 restaurants within a block and 3 blocks to large grocery. Really can't beat the convenient location and the apartment is full of what you would have at home. Every room has hi def tv, the living room has a 50"! The logistics works well, text Jim from the airport and he is there waiting for you. Whoever is planning on renting this unit should look forward to the stay. Jim and Ben, I must admit, this one is the best of all of your DC properties. Thanks and keep up the great work.

7 of us stayed here for 6 days. There was plenty of room for all of. There are places to get groceries and other necessary items a block away. There were also several restaurants close by for those who like to eat out. It was wonderful to be so close to the subway and only a short distance to the main DC attractions. We felt very safe in this home and found it very relaxing. The kitchen had all the needed basics and was a great place to fix meals. Loved having the laundry area next to the kitchen made doing laundry very easily. The beds were very comfortable. We had no problems with the skylights. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to staying here again.

Our family of 4 stayed at this columbia heights apartment for a week. The location was very conviently located near the Metro. target and great restaurants were very close by. it was generally clean and well maintained. The owner and property manager were helpful answering questions and concerns. We would go back and I will recommend this place to my friends and family.

Photos and descriptions were spot on. What wasn't mentioned and what one reviewer didn't mention when they said the sky light in the master bedroom bothered them is that the sky light leaks when it rains and that the sky light lets in a lot of noise and all the cooking odors of the nearby restaurants. The stores are close but the cooling tower for those stores comes on at 6 AM and goes off somewhere around midnight. It is possible to get six hours of good sleep without that loud humming noise. And the mattress in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. When I did get to sleep. The deck area pictured isn't suitable to enjoy. Feral cats use the furniture and drag food up there from the restaurant garbage. The humming noise from the cooling tower is too loud to be able to enjoy the deck. Can't hear yourself think outside on that deck. The property manager told us when we arrived that the previous guests did some damage but those repairs were never made during our stay. Basically I paid full price and had to live without some towel bars and no toilet paper holders, a leaking dishwasher and a leaking sky light. Also very few face cloths and no hand towels for the bathrooms during our stay. They had places to hang the hand towels in the bathrooms but no hand towels were to be found. I wouldn't stay there again and I wouldn't tell my friends about it but if you can stand the loud noise from the cooling tower, the loud noise from people milling about on the street until the wee hours of the morning then you will enjoy the location and this condo. My husband said he would give it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Our 11 year old granddaughter gave it a 10 (she loved having her own flat screen TV and her own bathroom). Guess I'm more picky so take that into condsideration if you read this review.

My family and I stayed here and greatly enjoyed the apartment and our visit to the capitol. It was close to the metro, shops, and restaurants which makes it very convenient. The restaurants next door (a chicken place and a Pho restaurant) are very good. I would definitely rent this place again when I am in the area.

I was very pleased with the property. Jim was absolutely GREAT! The property was very clean and beautiful. I usually clean hotel rooms before I sleep in them, I didn't feel the need to do that with this house. The only thing that I was dissatisfied with was the sky light in the master bedroom. So, if you are considering this property, I suggest you take a mask to block the light. The area was fun and exciting! Was not happy with the construction workers early in the morning, but that was beyond any of our control. I ABSOLUTELY will stay there again!

I booked this apartment for two of my colleagues visiting from our NY office. They couldn't have been more pleased with their stay which cost us 1/3 of what we would've have spent to put them in hotel rooms. The property manager is incredibly helpful and I would happily book this property again in the future.
