The home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community. You will enjoy spectacular panorama views of Sky Valley, which offers golf, pool, tennis, waterfalls, hiking trails and all located just two hours from Atlanta via Interstate 85 and Interstate 985. A major highway project has recently provided the completion of four-lane roads to within five miles of Sky Valley, making the trip from Atlanta incredibly easy. The same highway also provides the same incredibly easy (four-lane road) trip from Asheville, NC.
This lovely five Bedroom and four Bathroom home features, hardwood or stone floors throughout, Wireless High Speed Internet, HDTV’s with HDTV satellite service including local Atlanta HD channels, and all linens. You can enjoy sitting on the large screened porch in one of the rocking chairs with ceiling fans while you grill your dinner or walk around the side deck and access the other porch. With this home’s elevation of 3,327 feet, it offers views overlooking Sky Valley and across the valley to a mountain range, that includes the second highest mountain in Georgia, Rabun Bald.
As you enter this wonderful home through the front door on the main level, there is entry hall with a staircase to the right. Straight ahead is the living room that features a gas fireplace that warms you up instantly, a 42” flat-panel plasma HDTV w/ HD satellite service, DVD/CD, VCR, and a beautiful comfort sofa with love seat. To the right is the dining area with a table that includes seating for six. Beyond that is the white appliance kitchen with a 26 cu ft side by side refrigerator w/ filtered water and ice in the door, a flat glass top range with an Over-The-Range microwave oven, a double sink w/ a spray head facet and garbage disposal, full size built-in dishwasher, and all the cookware, flatware, dishes, stemware, serving dishes, pots & pans and counter top appliances you will need. The master bedroom is on this level featuring a king bed with a 32” flat panel HDTV w/ HD satellite service, also has two nightstands each with lamps, clock radios and a phone, dresser, chest of draws, large walk-in closet, also features an large en-suite private bath with full Jacuzzi tub/shower with double vanities, this bedroom has a private entry to the outside deck. There are two other bedrooms on this level. The second bedroom on this level has a king bed, a nightstand, clock radio, phone, dresser, closet, and a private en suite bath with tub/shower. The third bedroom on this level has a queen bed, nightstand, clock radio, phone, armoire, closet, and access to the third bath with tub/shower. The washer/dryer is also on this (main) level. The upper level has two bedrooms, and a loft that overlooks the living room and features a desk with a phone, TV, VCR w/ satellite service and high-speed internet H/U. The views are also spectacular from anywhere on this level. One of the bedrooms on this level features a queen bed with dresser, chest of draws, rocking chair, and nightstand with clock, phone, and TV. The other bedroom has two twin beds, dresser, phone, and stereo. This level also has a full bath with tub/shower. On the lower level is a single car garage with automatic door opener.

My family stayed in Chick's Nest this past weekend and the experience was great. The view of the valley with a beautiful white church steeple at the center is incredible! The home was spotless. The home has so many unexpected extra touches and supplies, it felt like home. The biggest hit with the women was the abundance of fresh towels. The large kitchen has almost anything you could need and the washer/dryer was convenient. Beautiful home and, I have to point this out again, many little extras there make for light packing! We were not constantly running to the store for detergent, trash bags, soap, shampoo, salt, etc. We based out of the house for hiking close by and up into NC. Highlands and Cashiers is just a short drive away and we enjoyed the restaurants in Dillard.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were delighted with the house and all the quality the amenities. It was so nice to have many of the kitchen necessities already there! A huge plus not to have to go to the grocery right away!!! The driveway was a bit daunting, at first, but then we saw so many others in Sky Valley that were similar. We stayed on the porch most of the time and enjoyed the view and the wonderful chimes from the chapel. Several played golf and we hiked up one of the mountain trails one day. We also enjoyed Highlands and Franklin and had a fun dinner at the Mexican place down the mountain. Since we were a large group and we had 2 houses, we actually ate most of our meals at the other house. We never did use the pool, but it was nice knowing it was there if we wanted to. I guess the only negative was the one upstairs bedroom with the twin beds. They are pretty small and really only good for children. But the couple using that room did not stay the entire time anyway, so it all worked out. We loved the house and would highly recommend Sky Valley and this property to friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house itself was great. everything was provided including the coffee.Loved the porch for sitting in the evennings and listening to the church bells in the valley. Our only complaint was the driveway. We were on motorcycles and the drive is so steep and the turn at the top that I dropped my bike trying to make the landing at the top of the drive.This house is NOT Recommended for anyone on motorcycles..Recommended for: Families with young children.

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. Everything was clean and very well supplied. The view from the decks was awesome and we stayed outside the majority of the time. Lots to do in Highlands and Dillard and Spring Lake (where we spent many summers growing up). The owners were very helpful and prompt especially when we had to book the property last minute. Look forward to returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This Sky Valley home was wonderful! It was clean and the information on the property was accurate. We enjoyed a lovely hike near a beautiful waterfall right there in the Sky Valley area! The church bells in the valley added a lovely touch. Wonderful stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
