Casa del Mar, our elegant yet comfortable home with private pool and elevator, is a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. It provides a tranquil escape and is ideal for family gatherings and entertaining. It is located in a quiet neighborhood on a large lot with beautiful landscaping. The rooms are bright and spacious and many have magnificent views of the ocean, sound or marsh.
There are warm heart pine floors throughout, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a huge master suite with loft and luxury bath. The first level has an open floor plan with kitchen, dining and great room and one bedroom.
The elevated private pool and large deck can be accessed from all of these rooms and there is lots of room and privacy for everyone. The kitchen has stainless steel upgraded appliances, granite counters and beautiful cabinetry. There is a dining room adjacent to the kitchen that can accommodate eight people comfortably. The dining room and living room lead to a covered porch with ocean views.
This level also features a bedroom that sleeps 2 and overlooks the pool. There is also a queen-size pull-out sofa in the living room.
Casa del Mar has surround sound in every room and on the pool deck. The gas grill and ice maker are also conveniently located on the pool deck.
The living room has a 50 inch flat-screen TV and DVD player. The full-size washer and dryer are located on the upper level and a freezer is on the garage level.
The second level features the master suite with loft, plus one additional bedroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, walk-in closet, 50 inch flat-screen TV with DVD player, and luxury bath with whirlpool tub, his/her vanities and separate shower enclosure. There is a covered porch off the master suite.
The third bedroom has its own private bath and a covered porch, and sleeps four with a double bed and one set of twin bunk beds. It faces West and the sunsets are to die for.
Harbor Island is ideal for watching the dolphins and shrimp boats, walking, biking, crabbing or just lazing around.
There is a pool and racquet club and tennis courts within a five-minute walk from the house. The beach is 2.5 miles of white sand and the ocean is calm. Casa del Mar also comes with use of a private golf cart for exploring the island.

- Harbor Island is 14 miles from Beaufort, SC. It is also a 45 minute drive to Hilton Head and one hour to Savannah. Charlston is an hour and a half away. We have 2.5 miles of a white sand beach here at Harbor and the seas are gentle. Sit and sun and on the beach and watch the shrimp boats and dophins pass by. The kids will love it. Why the Owner Chose Harbor Island
We chose Harbor Island because of the beach, the tranquility of the area and also because if its location. It is situated between Charleston, SC and Savannah Georgia two of the most historic cities in the South. Notwithstanding that Beaufort, SC has many colorful and historic sites.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the peace and quiet of the area; the low country food and the weather. There is always an ocean breeze at our home and we are never hot and uncomfortable. We also enjoy the many varieties of birds which choose to nest in the area, including egrets, herons and pelicans. There are also numerous smaller birds who visit. Namely, humming birds, chickadees, cardinals and buntings.

My husband and I currently live in the busy Washington, DC metro area. Actually in Alexandria, Virginia. We hunted for years for a second home and could never find anything that quite fit. We were invited by friends to Harbor Island, SC and from the first time my husband and I stepped foot on the island, we fell in love with it. We were amazed by the 2.5 of silver sand beach, which is never crowded; the beautiful palm trees and vegetation and the myriad of colorful homes throughout the island. It reminded us of Barbados. We knew that one day we wood purchase a home here. Our family, both the young and young at heart love the calm ocean, the beach and watching the shrimp boats and dolphins. We hope that one day you will visit and see for yourself.

Miss Christine - This house rocks. I love this house. I had so much fun. I slept upstairs. I loved the view. I enjoyed swimming in the pool and the beach and the walk way. It is just so close and the big bool. I had so much fun riding the golf cart. It was my first time on one. Me and my parents went out on the beach in the morning. It was fun. This will sound wierd but I liked watching the fans in the living room. It was good in Beaufort and I had a great time.

Our goup ranged from 94 years old to 5 years old and we all had a super time. The rocking chair porches with ocean breezes and the private pool were often used and greatly enjoyed. Your home is lovely and very convenient to ocean and eating establishments. We really enjoyed eating at the Shrimp Shack - good food, no frills and an outdoor screened eating area. We are all leaving more relaxed and more rested than we came. We certainly hope to come back.

This home is beautiful and very convenient to everything. It has never been rented out before, although I have stayed there many times. (Casa del Mar is my sister's vacation home and we spend our summer vacations together at Harbor Island). I am constantly amazed by the natural beauty of the community, the beach, the dolphins and the myriads of birds. We stay there a couple of times per year and we have made some very good friends in the community. It is great home with every convenience.
