This is the second time my family has stayed at this small 18 unit complex in Inlet beach and our first time at "The Pearl". This is going to become an annual May pilgrimage for our family. We love this place and feel like it is our secret hideaway. The beach: As a person born and raised in Florida, I know beaches. And this is one of the best in the entire state. The view from this unit is a pristine natural 200 foot strip of natural dunes, sea oats and native weathered scrub oak followed by the green seas of the Gulf of Mexico. This is what the entire coast looked like 100 years ago. The beach itself is white powdered sands with very little shell hash. A secondary sand bar 50 feet off shore and provides a fun area to body surf waves and play. The location is also perfect as well. Though Rosemary Beach and all its fine dining and shops are but a mile west, this location is not nearly as densely populated and tourist packed. The complex itself is a gated and very safe. A very nice pool area and shower is provided and with only 18 units, the pool is never crowded. Our kids ages 9 and 4 liked the pool almost as much as the ocean!!! The unit itself was fantastic. The Pearl was recently remodeled and has beautiful wood floors, granite counters, tiled shower and bath, and a fully stocked utensil and cook friendly kitchen. Two bunk areas provide a wonderful area for children to sleep in a nook in the hall. If you have two kids, be prepared for fights on who gets the top bunk! The queen size bed in th eone bedroom was very comfortable. Though I almost hate to let the secret out on this complex and this unit, you will not find a better deal nor a better beach. If you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family of up to four, this is your place. Have fun:)
