This historic landmark building was built in 1927 and originally known as Mendelson's Oakland Hotel. In the 1970's it was converted into two separate residences and the north half provides over 2200 square feet of sun soaked living space. There are four spacious bedrooms (two queen beds, one full bed and the fourth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds) with two completely remodeled full baths.
The Oakland North has been impeccably maintained and boasts all of the original architectural details of a bygone era including ten foot high ceilings, arched double hung windows with true divided lights, oak hardwood flooring on the entire first floor, stain grade mill work trim throughout with operable transom vents above the second floor bedroom doors. The feeling of the home is truly unique and feels as if you are in a historic turn of the century beach house. The finishes, fixtures and furnishings all add to the overall casual relaxed feeling and remind you that you are 'away from it all'.

- Air Conditioning: Two separate central air conditioning systems for each level, providing the maximum sleeping comfort for those hot summer nights. Don't be a fool, rent a house that is cool!
- Washer: One full size washing machine is located on the lower level. This unit is provided at no additional cost to our guests.
- Dryer: One full size natural gas dryer is located on the lower level. This unit is provided at no additional costs to our guests.
- Linens Provided: All Bed and bath linens are provided. Please bring your own beach blankets and beach towels.
- Off Street Parking: Two (2) dedicated off-street parking spaces are provided directly adjacent to the back yard.

- Deck/Patio (2) : The Oakland North has a shared front patio with the Oakland South. It offers a lake view and is great for watching people go to and from the North Beach. The Oakland North also offers a large, private back deck with plenty of seating for everyone.

- The best amenity is authentic, turn of the century architectural details and design. This was an Inn built in 1927 and was converted into two private residences. Character and charm of a bygone era!
