Why the Owner Chose Owl's Head
I came, I saw, I bought (my apologies to Julius Cesar for misquoting him!) But it was as simple as that. The first time I saw the view driving down the street, I knew and I never had a regret.
I love the ocean - I was raised in the Caribbean and spent my 20's in the Pacific with the navy. This spot has a sandy beach but it is nestled with rocky shoreline and near and far islands. It is very inviting to take the kayak out and go to one of the islands.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I bought this house in 1988, redid the entire interior over that winter, and each year try to make it better. The comment I get most often is that this is a place to relax and decompress. It blends being away from commercial areas but not being isolated and having many options for stores, restaurants, and entertainment near by.

This location was perfect for our stay. There is so much to do, we couldn't experience everything in our week stay. The house exceeded our expectations! Very relaxing. The kayaks are an added bonus. Watching the lobster boats from the living room was educational and interesting. The beds were very comfortable.

this home is just like being at home. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to fix gourmet meals at home, even a lobster dinner!! The furnishings are comfortable and the home is well decorated. The local scenery is beautiful and there are interesting local homes, even an old cemetary within walking distance. I would bring family members and frinds here at any time of year. The home is even equiped with WiFi, should you get withdrawal symptons from being away from the internet, or even need do do a little work online. Go, you won't regret it!!!
