Lovely cabin on beautiful shorefront property on Western side of MDI. This 5 acre property has gently sloping fields to a wonderful cobblestone beach with private deep water granite pier and dock. This rustic cabin consists of one great room with vaulted ceilings and a loft to accommodate additional sleeping. The cabin includes a bunk bed that sleeps two and a futon couch that converts to a queen size bed.
The beach is perfect for private lobster bakes, shelling and searching for sea glass or simply enjoying the incredible sunsets. The 150' pier with 24' floating dock will accommodate your boating activities along with a mooring suitable for a 50' vessel. The area is ideally suited for kayaking and sailing in the protected reaches of Blue Hill Bay.
The Southwestern exposure provides incredible views towards Swans Island and the outer reaches of Blue Hill Bay.
The villages of Bass Harbor and Bernard are approximately 1 mile away. There's great hiking along the shore or in the nearby National Park. An easy walk to the nearby bus stop provides free bus service throughout the island. The location is truly amazing and must be seen to be appreciated.

Great spot on the quiet side of MDI, close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Rustic cabin was a good home base, relaxing on the deck in the afternoon sun with a beer was the perfect way to end the day. private beach was great for shell and sea glass hunting or having a fire in the evening. the dog had great time on the beach, playing frisbee on the lawn and hiking the many nearby trails. directions and info regarding the cabin were straight forward. Overall a great get away!
