Views & Parking with This Spacious Apartment on Telegraph Hill
Year Purchased: 1940
Why the Owner Chose Telegraph Hill
My grandmother bought the 4-plex because she LOVED North Beach and she wanted our family to always be able to experience all North Beach had to offer and NOW you can too.
Owner's Map of Telegraph Hill
This garden apartment has been in my family for almost 70 years. My grandmother bought a 4-plex next to her house on telegraph hill in 1940. This is where I lived with my parents and brother until I went away to college. The garden apartment was kept for guests but recently my mom decided that she would like to rent it out. It is a lovely apartment on a quiet street on the top of telegraph hill. I love to visit there and I know you will too!

My husband I I rented this close-to-the-city & action apartment for the Christmas holiday. The wood burning fireplace and lovely peaceful location made this a great choice for our week in SF. Jean, our contact, was fantastic. We arrived on Christmas Day and she helped us settle in and then the next day checked in to make sure everything was okay. Definitely opt to get parking in the garage as the area surrounding the location is tight for parking.

This apartment on Telegraph Hill was a total delight and we would highly recommend it. It is spacious, clean, comfortable and with the added benefit of the pool table...fun. The location and views surpassed our expectations. The owners were extremely helpful. Parking in the neighborhood is hard to find and so the garage was nice to have. If the highest rating for properties is five stars, we would give this apartment ten stars! Thank you for sharing your lovely apartment with us. We hope to return soon.

Perched near the very top of Telegraph Hill, it's hard to choose what fabulous place to walk to from this cozy apartment. We stayed there four nights, and were sorry to leave. Its just a few blocks from the heart of North Beach, and a pleasant walk to more than a person can reasonably want to see of San Francisco. We didn't know quite what to expect, and we were very pleased not just with the location and the space, but the cheerful and personal help the owner gave in directions and recommendations for dining in the area. The weather was too cool to enjoy the patio, but just perfect to enjoy the fireplace. We'd certainly recommend it to friends.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful pied-a-terre for one week and it was just not enough time! Every night when we returned from walking all over San Francisco we found ourselves so very happily ensconced in this comfortable and ample house on Telegraph Hill. Lori made sure we had everything we needed - even coffee and milk - when we arrived! She was a delight to work with and was always eager to offer advice as to where to go and what to so (she lives next door so was available to us all the time, but we tried not to bother her too much). Everything about this house was perfect: location (unbeatable: close to downtown, Fisherman's Wharf, parks, restaurants, main streets and avenues), amenities (super fast wifi, full cable TV, outside garden, car space)... we would return to this place in a heartbeat... thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

We spent a week in this darling apartment. It is everything it says and more. Since the building is older, I was expecting an older apartment but it has obviously been totally remodeled and updated with new appliances, bath, and furnishings very recently. It IS on the TOP of Telegraph hill which provides great views and an invigorating walk down the hill to all of the great restaurants on Columbus Avenue. There is a city bus that comes right to the property every twenty minutes until early evening and all the MUNI buses have GPS so you can use your computer or phone to know exactly when the next one will arrive. There is an excellent library of DVDs and a fireplace. One night when it was raining, and we were too tired to go out, we just lit a fire, opened a bottle of wine, had some snacks and watched a DVD. It was great! The owner was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. She has thought of everything you could need!

The apartment was beautiful, just as described. Perfectly clean and maintained. The apartment was terrifically furnished and appointed with everything you might need on a stay in San Francisco. We were there for a week and a half and had all we needed, every day. I wish we could have stayed longer. The owner was delightfully helpful and made us feel welcome and helped us find wonderful places in the city. She directed us to fabulous restaurants of all kinds, and told us about not-to-miss corners of the city. We could walk to so many places from this lovely apartment. (The apartment is on a quiet street, with incredible views of the bay and the city just around the corner!) We wish we could go back tomorrow! Near Coit Tower, Cafe Trieste, City Lights Book Store, Fisherman's Wharf, Ferry Building Market, China Town. You can walk everywhere! A cab came to our door and took us to Golden Gate Park. Restaurants galore. Both informal and fancy, all ethnic types of food, right down the street. We loved Washington Square Park, all the bakeries (Acme at Ferry Building, Boudin at Fisherman's Wharf), and we shopped at Fog Hill Market. The owner's hospitality was extraordinary. Enjoy!
