Kellerman Creek Bed & Breakfast is a gem on Bainbridge Island and Jean--the owner, host, and 5-star chef, is your warm and gracious host. The detached studio bed and breakfast is more inviting and comfortable in person than can be captured in photos. Jean has decorated with numerous touches reminiscent of her time in Hawaii and has created a very elegant and luxurious space. A quick walk from your island retreat in the quiet and solace of the woods and you are a guest in Jean's home for a sumptuous breakfast and inviting conversation. From the B&B there is the opportunity to walk or run on roadways on the island's eastern coast that look out to Seattle. We enjoyed exploring the island by foot and car and might hope to venture off-shore and experience the island from a kayak during our next visit.

We stayed at this quaint studio B&B in the middle of our honeymoon! It was cozy, private, homey, and the location allows you to step back from the business of life. Breakfast was fantastic! It's close to the biggest town on Bainbridge--Winslow--where you can find plenty of cute cafe's, fun shops and the most amazing ice cream you will ever have at Mora's! Make a stop at the Bloedel Reserve towards the north end of the island if you have a chance and you aren't into all that adventurous stuff. Overall, we highly recommend staying here! She even has a great collection of classic VHS tapes for a cozy night in! :)

This was a beautiful studio cottage. It was a decent size for a couple. The bed was wonderful! The owner is very nice and breakfast was quite delicious. Very fresh and tasty. The owner was very helpful when I asked about restaurant recommendations and parks. I've had people recommend just the most touristy places, but based on what I wanted she came up with some excellent choices. It was very clean and comfortable. Not the place to stay if you want a large screen tv and the latest electronics, but when you're surrounded by nature why would you? (There is a tv, etc. though.)

Thank you for sharing your lovely home and studio with me this weekend! You are a wonderful & gracious hostess. I especially enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the beautiful gardens and water traffic on Puget Sound. The studio is beautifully decorated and provides a very peaceful and relaxing oasis. Waking up to the sound of birds in my own private garden was rejuvenating. I can't wait to return to your wonderful establishment.

We loved our three days at Kellerman Creek B&B. The lodging itself was perfect for two people and very private. There are high windows that let light in and allow views of the high forest around the property. The bed and linens were super nice, and the setting was very romantic. The property is so wooded and beautifully planted that you have the feeling of being inside of a huge private reserve. The owner, Jean, is wonderfully friendly and approachable. She made sure we knew about all the gardens that we could see on the island, and even made personal arrangements for us with one. The food: Excellent!! No cold cereal here! I guess it helps that Jean is a professional caterer. We had views of the Sound and the ships and Seattle from her dining room table, while overlooking the landscaped property with only one peak of a roof of a neighbor. Kellerman Creek is a perfect example of what we like to find in B&Bs!

We had a wonderful stay - Jean is wonderful, the accommodations are really comfy, the breakfast yummy and the gardens/surroundings beautiful with a view of Puget Sound and Shilshole marina. We lucked out with a gorgeous sunny day and walked down to Manitou beach and sampled the wines at Rolling Bay Winery. Lovely vacation - we'll definitely go back!

                  Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2000

About the owner: Your hostess, Jean Kellerman, moved to Bainbridge Island in 1999 after 39 years in Hawaii where she raised 3 sons and was a teacher and realtor in Honolulu and on the windward side. After moving to Bainbridge she became very involved at the non profit gallery, Bainbridge Arts and Crafts. A caterer, she delights in serving wonderful breakfasts to her guests. Her biggest job is as gardener to her acre of gardens.

Why the Owner Chose Bainbridge Island:
Bainbridge Island is a lovely island about the size of Manhattan, covered with immense second growth evergreens and only a 35 min. ferry ride to Seattle. It's also very accessible to the Olympic Peninsula. I fell in love with the lushness, the beautiful home surrounded by beautiful gardens and my own little creek running through the property. The view of Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains still delight me.

The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
The house cannot be seen from the road so it's a most private experience. You are the only guests so the property is yours to enjoy undisturbed and the breakfast is tailored to suit your palate. Free WIFI The deck of the main house is yours to enjoy, reading in the comfortable chairs, sip wine, or just enjoy the view of ships on the Puget Sound.Wood burning stove.
