Rocko's Cottage is located on a side street in the downtown area of the beautiful island town of Bar Harbor. We are pet friendly for your well mannered four legged friends. Rocko is actually our 7 lb Dorkie. His mom, Lisa, owns a shop downtown called "WALKIN' THE DOG" and our guests will receive a 10% discount there. You will be within walking distance of over 25 restaurants ranging from fine dining to family fare. Bicycle rentals, kayaking trips, and unique shops galore are all within minutes of your front door and yes we can tell you which of these places welcome pets. Walk the shore path or across a natural sand bar (actually a glacial deposit) to visit beautiful Bar Island. Never have to worry about parking your car or enjoying a cocktail and then driving.
Rocko's Cottage was built in 2005 and is tastefully and comfortably furnished. You will find everything that you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities of life, and the linens are all new. The open floor plan actually makes our cottage appear much larger inside. It must be noted that the bathroom does not have a tub but does have a nice 4 ft. shower and for your convenience there is a stackable washer and dryer. This is a great house and location for people that travel with pets or children or just one or two couples that want to stay in the heart of town. Once you visit us you will be sure to return again and again.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by the owners and we are always only a phone call away if there is a problem. Welcome to our home and enjoy your stay....

Lisa and Rick, the owners of Rocko's Cottage, live and work in Bar Harbor. Lisa owns a pet store called Walkin' the Dog located on Main Street and Rick is an engineer at the Jackson Laboratory.
Why the Owner Chose Bar Harbor
Rocko's Cottage is not a vacation rental but our actual home that we have chosen to rent by the week in the summer months.
