Had family members from Canada and the US attend my 50th birthday party. This was a great location for everyone to gather. House was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for a nice party and plenty of relaxation. Easy access from hwy. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. House was warm and inviting and found everything to be spotless. Thanks cant wait to return.

The positives of this rental would definately be the beautiful Landscaping and Grounds w/ lighting on the walkways making it easy to take a stroll after dark. The home itself is beautiful with a contemporary flair. There is plent of room for multiple families. The photos really do not do this home and it's estate-like-grounds justice. Although there were many positives, the vacation didn't go without some dissapointments... the pool table wasn't level and impossible for my teen boys to utilize. The refrig ice maker didn't work but the owner provided a bag ice. The location on the lake is perfect but as far as being close to restaurants and activities it was too far for my liking. The biggest issue was that renters need to be aware of is our boat was stolen right out of the water at this rentals dock Tuesday night of our week long vacation. The Owner was accessible and willing to help but the result was the same..No Boat/No Vacation for my family. We ended up leaving Thursday morning. Our boat was recovered the following Sunday with over $3,000 in damage and approximately $1,000 in stolen equipment.
Owner response:Thank you for your comments regarding the house and gardens. We regret that the situation with the boat ocurred and would strongly recommend that guests remove keys from their boats and make sure that their vessel is properly secured to the dock to prevent this from happening, whether staying at our property or any other lake side home in the future.

This was a perfect house for two families for a week. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The owners were wonderful to work with and communicated promptly. I recommend it.

The house is a true home and the pictures don't come close to capturing the ambience. The layout is perfect for a big crowd, yet offers pockets of coziness for a quiet moment. The large patio feels like an adult tree house and captures the stunning lake views from any angle. The bedrooms are ample in size, including the two master which are enormous. The house is stocked with everything you need and the gas grill can handle the appetite of a large group. The owners were wonderful to work with and we can't wait to return next year!!

My family and I stayed in this beautiful home in June 2011. The owner was easy to work with and made every effort to accomodate our needs. The home and the grounds were exquisite. This is the peaceful end of Lake Norman. I would highly recommend a stay at this vacation getaway!

Good location for us to spend holidays with my sister who lives less then 5 miles away on Lake Norman. The house is big with huge masters bedrooms and baths. Beds are excellent. Kitchen is well stocked with good equipment even a great waffle maker. House was very clean. I enjoyed the sauna after my shower to dry and warm up.One of the showers is not enclosed which some like some don't. Views of lake are beautiful and we even had a snowfall to watch. Lots of song birds too. Owner was great to work with and prompt in returning our security deposit.

As previous reviewers shared, it was wonderful. Even enjoyed the thunder and lightning show sipping wine on the screened in front porch. Many beautiful places for us to gather and enjoy, or spend alone. Almost felt like a fairy tale when the backyard lights are on down the paths leading to the water. State Park is a few minutes away so we fished and enjoyed lots of great hiking. The owners are also very friendly, available and invested in making sure your stay is a great one. Talking about bringing our family back next year.

If you are looking for: Sunset Views, Deep Water, more Space than you know what to do with, Five Star Resort Landscaping and Grounds, all with contemporary flair, then look no further! The photos really do not do this home and it's estate-like-grounds justice. The landscape lighting and walkways were so beautiful. I must have taken 100 photos just of the home and grounds. We played pool almost continuously when we weren't in, or on, the lake. The staff at Skipper's Landing / Morningstar Marina made sure that our 23 Ft Sea Ray Boat and Wave Runner Rentals were just perfect. We pretty much had the lake to ourselves during the week. Dinner at The Prickly Pear in Mooresville was fantastic. The Owner was accessible and answered all of our questions and requests for help quickly. Definitely the place to be on the North End of Lake Norman!

We stayed here for a family wedding in Mooresville. Two families shared the house and everyone had a blast. The mainlevel 2 'master' bedrooms were perfect and the 'kids' rooms downstairs provided everyone with there own space, the pool table and Foosball table provided hours of enjoyment. The home is decorated and laid out very nicely, with views from all the rooms. The most amazing part is all the outdoor gathering spots; there are numerous protected/shaded and full sun outdoor sitting areas where family and friends can enjoy the beautiful location on Lake Norman. The grounds have lots of beautiul walkways, and paths leading to the lake and around the yard. We spent hours swimming off the dock, grilling food and enjoyin gthe deck area. This home is a fantastic place, our family wants to enjoy again since it is such a great place to visit with friends and family. Next time we will stay longer than just a quick 3 day weekend!

We just got home from this wonderful vacation home. Loved the location, views, amenities, and convenience of the overall rental. The only thing we did not like was that this home is not ours, not where we live, and that that we had to leave. There is plenty of room to spread out, plenty of "zones" for conversation, games, and relaxation. Even a rainy day is great when you are sitting on the small three season porch. The large shaded deck is a great place for a nap when you have taken in all the views. Do not miss out on this wonderful vacation home!

For anyone wishing a wonderful family holiday or even adult retreat away from the busier parts of Lake Norman, this is the place for you! We were thrilled to discover such beautiful grounds and privacy and a holiday home where everything was thought of to make us comfortable. The decor was inviting and contemporary, everything was clean and nicely presented and the beds are amazing! Who needs to own a lakefront home when you can rent this one! We would definitely consider renting again next time we come to North Carolina.
