This is a one bedroom cottage - There is also a bunkhouse on the property which has two additional bedrooms available at an additional charge for those who need more space.

Sit on the dock while fishing in the beautiful cove, and watch the activity pass by on the way to Newbury Harbour, which is just a short walk away.

Enjoy soft Sandy bottom swimming or head out to the middle of the lake in the canoe (provided).

  • My son and I and our guest enjoyed a wonderful four days at the cabin. The lake setting is beautiful and we much appreciated the use of the canoe and loved swimming there. Nice to eat lakeside as well. The cabin is small but with great weather we were outside most of the time. It was nice to have the linens and towels provided as well!

  • It was an overall negative experience. One of the owners we dealt with over e-mail was very nice, she was able to answer all our questions and responded quickly. But the lack of privacy at this lake cottage made it unpleasent to stay. Owner and his friends / families came and gone at their leisure. Although the price is reasonable and the view is beautiful, unless you want to spend your vacation with a bunch of people you don't know and very little space (not to mention the lake front area is relatively small and narrow), this place is not for you. This place was certainly not for us. Owners should not have rented the cottage to renters the week they wished to stay and invited their friends / families over. Owner basically told us we could leave if we were uncomfortable since his friends were not going to leave, even thou we were the ones who were paying to be there. We ended up leaving just about 2 days early. We did get part of our refund back. But the whole vacation was basically ruined.

    Debbie, I am deeply saddened by your comments, many of which are inaccurate. We offer a beautiful quaint cottage with a shared waterfront. You told me in an email after the fact that you really liked it, and that from the onset, you did not expect a private waterfront. The lake front area is shared by our property, and 3 other area homes - it consists of 125' which is a large area. At no time were there more than 8 people at the waterfront, but honestly, if you, as a renter had invited your friends and family to use the property during your stay (which I understand you did!) that was okay as well. In fact, most of our renters love the opportunity to meet and interact with other families. It is really not much different than a shared beach or pool at most vacation resorts. You stayed for 3 days of a 4 day rental and I graciously offered to refund half your money. You left TWO anonymous negative comments in my guest book. I did not approve one of them, since they were both from you, and both said the same thing. Although VRBO allows me to delete the duplicate comment, it does not allow me to adjust the number of negative ratings so I must leave that number there. We work very hard to insure that our renters understand what they are getting, and we strive to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. We have had such a great response, that your comments were very distressing. Sorry that your experience with our property was negative.

  • Wow! What an amazing week. My husband and I had such a fantastic time and will, without a doubt, be back next year. It was the perfect getaway and it was so nice to have found such a dog friendly place. The cottage that we rented was clean, neat and very well maintained. There are so many amazing restaurants in the area and we were totally impressed with the friendly, welcoming environment of the Lake Sunapee region. Along with our happiness with the place I was also one hundred percent impressed with VRBO and the interactions that I had with the owner.This little cabin on the lake is a special gem and it is well worth checking out. I know that my husband, myself and the pups will be visiting again next year.
