  We arrived Friday night with 2 young children and 2 adults, followed the next morning by another couple and their child (8). Immediately jumping into the lake, to find a wide clean shallow area with a areas that goes out nearly 100 feet and you can still stand ! The kids loved it, fun both good swimmers and non-swimmers. There are already canoes, and kayaks there, well used but serviceable for fun excursions, especially out to the jumping platform about 150 feet out, We also brought some float toys, noodles, and water guns. Parents could lounge on one of two decks, with basic but comfortable plastic adirondack chairs available. The hosts are friendly and family oriented and were wonderful. We learned about the area, and got some tips of where to go for food and side trip. They do have wonderfully friendly dogs (3) and we got to know them immediately. (names : Leo, purple, and Loki - I think. Keep in mind we were there only 2 days) They were fun and not in our faces but gave personality to the trip. They were never in the way. Lastly, the Cottages were cozy and comfortable, exactly as they appear in the photos. It is a bit rustic; they are CABINS not hotel rooms, so if that's the experience you are looking for, enjoy. There are other people around given the close quarters on the property, and there was other families' things at the lake side (a family does live there) so it's not an immaculate lakeside retreat and not meant to be. It's kind of what you'd expect if the family invited you to share the week/weekend up with them. Id highly recommend it.

  How can i begin to describe our exprience?....it was all around amaizing. From the second you pull in and see the beautiful Lake to how wonderful and hospitable the hosts were. I fell in love imediately. The lake view and the patio area are exactly what we needed for the relaxed weekend we so desperately needed and we were also celebrating our anniversary. At night we lit the fire pit until there were no more logs to burn. Just wanted to stare at the stars all night long. There was a peace there i hadn't felt in a long while, even when the surrounding homes had all the neighbors out by the lake it felt like you were in your own world. Having access to the Kayak and the canoes was also great to further explore the lake, go swimming or fishing. I know we will be returning soon. Did i mention how great the owners were? Tx Nanci.

  I can't say enough about this place. The weather was perfect, the cabin was comfortable and clean, the area is fabulous and the owner was wonderful to deal with. We were so happy to find a place with such short notice that would allow us to bring our dog and we were so impressed with it all that we have agreed to make it our yearly vacation spot. This place is a hidden gem!

  We stayed for a week. The weather was great. The lake was beautiful. The cabin and bunkhouse was comfortable. My boys and Skipper-Doo-Dog loved the water: swimming, kayaking, and fishing. We spent a few nights roasting marshmallows in the firepit and just relaxing. The cabins are close to the water. I loved listening to the water while sleeping in the bunkhouse. With three cabins available a perfect place to vacation for an extended family or reunion. The owner was firendly and very accommodating. I would definitely come back.

  My son and I and our guest enjoyed a wonderful four days at the cabin. The lake setting is beautiful and we much appreciated the use of the canoe and loved swimming there. Nice to eat lakeside as well. The cabin is small but with great weather we were outside most of the time. It was nice to have the linens and towels provided as well!

  Wow! What an amazing week. My husband and I had such a fantastic time and will, without a doubt, be back next year. It was the perfect getaway and it was so nice to have found such a dog friendly place. The cottage that we rented was clean, neat and very well maintained. There are so many amazing restaurants in the area and we were totally impressed with the friendly, welcoming environment of the Lake Sunapee region. Along with our happiness with the place I was also one hundred percent impressed with VRBO and the interactions that I had with the owner.This little cabin on the lake is a special gem and it is well worth checking out. I know that my husband, myself and the pups will be visiting again next year.
