What a wonderful place to stay. Comfy country house with everything you could want with warm, family touches. The owners make your stay here so pleasant. Neighbors treat you like family. You couldn't ask for a better place to visit than Jonesport. It is nicknamed the "friendliest place in Maine" for good reason. The house is spacious. The view from the porch is breathtaking and this is the most affordable place we have ever stayed in with exceptional accomodations. If you are looking for peace and quiet, a break from the rat race, and want to meet genuinely friendly, caring people ...then this is the place to stay. We appreciate all the owners did to make our first trip to Maine one that we will never forget. THANK YOU !!!!

We had the good fortune to spend the Labor Day weekend at this "Magical Maine Cottage". It was so comfortable, clean and sooo relaxing! Every morning sitting on the wrap around porch w/my coffee and enjoying the water front was the absolute best! There were day trips around the area of Jonesport, fresh lobster and fantastic native blueberry desserts! We were also fortunate to be there when there was an art show from the local artists. We would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for value for their vacation dollars!

This was my first trip to Maine and the Sawyer Cove Cottage was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed in. The house is located close to many of the highlights of coastal maine. The house is clean, cozy, picturesque and downright beautiful. We enjoyed the town of Jonesport and the locals were extremely friendly. We plan on repeating our stay at the Sawyer Cove Cottage next year. Truly a must-stay!

What a great find! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, charming, clean and comfortable home. We spent most of our time in the large, well-equipped, eat-in kitchen, or sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful view. You can do as little or as much as you want. There are a number of fun and interesting day trips to places like Canada and Arcadia National Park. Or relax at home with fresh lobsters from the local lobstermen. Make sure you stop at the local stands selling fresh blueberries, cranberries, chocolates and goat cheese. The property was well-maintained and the pictures are a good portrayal of the house. The master bedroom was amazing (very romantic!) and the owners were very easy to deal with and very responsive.

We loved this place! The views were spectacular and there is plenty to do or just relax. We loved spending the day at the Rogues Bluff Beach and the quiet side of Acadia. We loved getting lobsters from Stanley Beals lobster pound and then cooking them up. The kitchen has everything we needed for our several lobster feasts. The house is very centrally located to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfy and we loved the art work on the walls! The house was super clean and oweners were very nice to deal with.

We spent over a week in this house and we didn't want to leave! The view from the huge back deck is ever changing and absolutely serene and gorgeous. Loved having our coffee out on the deck every morning. This house is great getaway for readers and hikers. Many great trails and beaches close by. The owners were very helpful in informing us of the interesting beaches, trails and activities in the area. We loved the whale watch out of Eastport. The house is extremely spacious for two families..it was clean and well maintained. We will definitely return to this house again..and we have recommended this house to many friends and relatives ......a perfect house for nature lovers!

I spent a week as a friend's guest in mid-August. The place was just as described. The owners employed the couple across the street ( who own a very interesting art store) to meet any needs we had. The place was clean and spacious. The large deck equipped with rocking chairs, porch swing, patio table and chairs, and a hammock chair made the place a great one to sit around in the cool mornings/evenings drinking coffee and watching the fog roll in and out of the cove. The large yard and adjoining lots attract all sorts of birds who didin't seem to mind our company. There is little to do in the immediate area, but if you are willing to drive an hour either direction there are lots of activities and site seeing available. I absolutely loved this place.

Coming from Florida we enjoyed being in the quant town of Jonesport. The home was spacious, clean, charming and inviting. The upstairs master bedroom was large and had many windows with views of the bay and greenery. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the large porch equipped with a big picnic table and swing. The neighbors were delightful and welcoming. We even enjoyed a lobster boat ride on nearby Beal's island. During our weeks stay there we visited the state parks, went on hiking trails, visited Campobella, went whale watching and toured nearby Canada. We will remember our stay and its charm always.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at your home in Jonesport. We were three generations and had plenty of room for all. I as the senior grandmother appreciated the bedroom on the first floor with easy access to a beautiful large bathroom. The house was very comfortable with all the accommodations to make for a memorable visit. My grandchildren loved the hiking, the beaches and visiting interesting areas nearby. We enjoyed the wrap around porch and took most of our meals there when we weren’t out touring the area. The porch was a perfect place for reading, playing board games and just relaxing. We were able to get our lobsters right from the watermen and at a very reasonable price. I would definitely come back

Look no further if you are planning a trip to this part of Maine. Just the other day my daughter, who is 17, asked "when are we going back to Maine? It was my favorite vacation of all." This spot is everything you imagine (hope) when you take the time to travel that far north. The house is delightful - very well appointed, very comfortable, located close to parks, water, Beall's Island lobsters, great restaurants (Helen's Garden's blueberry pie) and an easy trip to Canada (Campobello and whale watching on the Bay of Fundy all in one day). But the best part is that you are just as likely to sit on the lovely porch and play cards and watch the tides or take a hike in the morning, eat all the blueberries you could want and come back for lunch without even getting back in the car. This property clearly reflects the love and interest the owners have in their place - complete with mermaids! So on a day when the heat might rise to the high 90's, I highly recommend this lovely spot on Sawyer's Cove.
