Short review All windows are unlockable. One window in middle bedroom falling apart. Your stuff isn't safe w/o any ability to lock anything. There are several features that are listed that do not work. Those things were the small things that would make it nice if it worked. Very dusty and no where near the lake. It's at least a mile away by car. One of the tvs didn't work. Limited amount of working outlets. Ice maker doesn't work. Spa tub doesn't lock so there is nO safty for young children. Bed in the master is not a queen. It is a full. The fireplace doesn't have a flu that closes so it gets freezing in the main room. They do however have a great dishwasher comfy couch good size fridge and tons of blankets. The pictures are pretty misleading as far as a table and hammock Bc they weren't there.
Owner response:We try and make every effort for guests it have an enjoyable stay. This cabin is an original Lake Tahoe cabin built in the early 1930's. The original windows have been left in the home for the true cabin feel. They do lock, however most people don't feel the need ad it is such a safe area. The bed is a queen in the master in the second bedroom is a full, and the third bedroom. A trundle which is 2 twins.. The closest access to the lake is approx 2 1/2 half blocks. It is called Speedboat Beach. There is a ok in the home that tells you directions. The other beach "kings beach" is a quarter mile away. There is a table and hammock but in the winter they get put away because of snow

This was a very needed vacation for us! Living in a big city, it was wonderful to relax in Lake Tahoe and we thoroughly enjoyed this charming cabin. It was nice that the market was only 5 minutes away so we did not have to drive too far. there was also a great secluded beach a short walk. There was even 4 mountain bikes for us to use as well as beach chairs etc. The dogs loved running around the yard as well as the hikes to the fire look out. Thank you again! we hope to come back this winter to let our dogs try snow next time

Thank you!! We had a fabulous time:) the gift basket was so nice upon our arrival it really made us feel welcomed. Even dog treats for Betsy she love them. This was our 1st time to Lake Tahoe and it was a real treat to stay in such a lovely cabin. It was very clean and well stocked. We BBQ"d out on the nice deck and enjoyed the hot tub after full days of hiking with Betsy. Having a book in the house of all the dog friendly beaches and hiking trails was very helpful. It is so nice to find aplace that we can take our dog> we will definately be back

Our anniversary should have been romantic...we should have wanted to stay at the cabin with a hot tub and fenced yard the entire stay...instead we wanted to stay away for most of our trip. The windows did not close/lock or open. The doors were not secure. And the hot tub we so looked forward to was broken for all the the last day of our stay (a repair man came and left a few times during our stay). Instead of any sort of heads up, refund, etc...we were told to walk next door to a working hot tub. The trip was alright but turned out to be very exhausting instead of relaxing or romantic.

WONDERFUL PLACE!! owners even came by to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin was very well stocked even had dog bowls and beds for our dog. They even had a gift basket waiting for us when we arrived and special treats for the dog:) The grounds are lush with a hammock and the hot tub was great. Speed boat beach is a short walk and is beautiful. We will definately return to the enchanted cabin this summer

Our family had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was very cozy and charming. Our daughter loved playing in the snow and the dogs loved the treats. Took a walk up to the fire look out top see the fantastic views and then enjoyed the hot tub. it was clean and well appointed. Hope to come back this summer.
