Perfect apartment for an Aussie family of 5!

Guest: DW from OZ (Torquay, Victoria, Australia)
Date of Stay: 08/08/11 Review Submitted: 10/10/11

The location of this apartment cannot be beaten, it's close to Zabars Deli to pick up some beautiful food; close to plenty of laundromats to do washing (if you need!), only 2 blocks from the subway on the corner of 79th & Broadway or 2 blocks to Central Park, and the Subway there. We loved having a nice quiet home base to stay, even on Saturday night it was quiet, just a residential neighbourhood that made us feel like real New Yorkers! All the instructions were very clear for the keys and payment of the balance, and Anthony was very easy to deal with. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and would highly recommend it.

This apartment exceded all our expectations and made our trip to NYC unforgettable. When traveling with 3 young children extra beds and rooms are priceless!! We all slept great at night. It is a nice quiet residental neighborhood where we felt safe to explore. The apartment was very clean and functional. A quick walk to the subway. We would definately stay here again and recommend to friends.

Perfect Place

Guest: AK (Festus, Missouri)
Date of Stay: 11/23/10 Review Submitted: 12/08/10

This apartment was the perfect place for our Thanksgiving visit to NYC. We were almost equidistant between (about an avenue and 1/2) between the stops for the subway that runs down Broadway to Time Square etc. and the one that runs along the west side of the Park. Convenient buses available also. It was clean, comfortable and efficiently furnished, including sufficient cookware, etc. for simple meals. A short walk to Zabar's for groceries or H&H Bagels for a fresh breakfast bagel. Good restaurants all around within easy walking distance (by NYC standards), not to mention Insomnia Cookies on Amsterdam. Seriously doubt that we could have found a more convenient location or comfortable living quarters. When we visit family in NYC again, we will be checking out the availability of this property.

thanksgiving dream!

Guest: Linda W. (San Francisco Bay Area)
Date of Stay: 11/23/10 Review Submitted: 12/02/10

My husband and I came from San Francisco to meet our Temple Univ. daughter in NYC last week. The apartment was perfect! We saw the parade balloons being blown up Wed. night, about one block away. Then the next morning walked two blocks to watch the Thanksgiving Day Macy's parade. It was fantastic! The apt is in a perfect location for Central Park, subways, and restaurants. We walked from 31st/9th all the way to our 80th st apt with gusto~so much to see, so much to do~ Thanks Tony & Elaine for making this our best Thanksgiving ever! Linda Jim & Sarah

We stayed here in October and had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean and attractively decorated. Beds were comfortable and Tony was very accomodating in getting us extra towels. The location is great! I would stay here again and would recommend it highly. Thanks for a great experience! Joan

At Home on the Upper West Side

Guest: Rock (Delaware, Ohio)
Date of Stay: 10/14/10 Review Submitted: 11/10/10

The apartment is immaculate, convenient and nicely furnished. It is less than two blocks from the Subway, from Central Park, and from a collection of diverse and very good restaurants. We had only two nights and wished for more. It is the ultimate setting for a New York experience. We hope to make this our new home away from home during visits to New York.

Renter Oct 2010

Guest: Margaret (Los Angeles, CA)
Date of Stay: 10/04/10 Review Submitted: 11/01/10

As a NYer, visiting from Los Angeles, I found the place to be well laid out and spacious enough for the four of us (2 adults & 2 kids under age 4). Easy to get to subway, as well as, other fun sights for the kids (CMOM & NHM). Clean and well kept up. Beds are squeaky, but for a few nights it's ok. Neighborhood was quiet at night and safety was not a concern.

Wonderful family vacation in NYC

Guest: Allison (Thomasville, GA)
Date of Stay: 09/24/10 Review Submitted: 10/12/10

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year-old daughter, and we couldn't have asked for a better "home base" from which to explore NYC. Anthony and Elaine were very accomodating and even provided a pack-n-play for our daughter. The apartment was clean and well-maintained (the pictures really don't do it justice!), and actually exceeded my expectations. (There is a fairly steep flight of stairs you must navigate to enter the apartment, so if you are disabled it's something to consider. We had no trouble getting our stroller up and down them.) The neighborhood was quiet and the location was perfect...close to the Children's Museum of Manhattan, Central Park, Museum of Natural History, the subway, and lots of family-friendly restaurants and shops. Don't miss dining at Sarabeth's right around the corner. Lots of hidden gems in this neighborhood...I can't wait to come back! Thanks for a wonderful, memorable vacation.
