Lucky Penny House is a Craftsman-style bungalow home built in 1905, and it sits 200 feet from one of the best beaches on the East Coast of the USA. The one-floor home has beautiful woodwork throughout, ceiling fans in every room, and period furniture. The kitchen and bath have been completely updated, as has the rest of the home's interior.
The backyard has a large deck with southern exposure, as well as a shower house with skylights.
This home would appeal to anyone who wants to relax on a bench swing on the wide front porch under the soft illumination of our party lights. This is a "neighborly" block, so expect to greet long-time residents as they walk by.
The location is excellent. Long Beach Island is the narrowest at this spot in Harvey Cedars, and that means fewer homes and therefore fewer people on the beach. Restaurants are less than one-fourth mile away, allowing you to walk if you wish. While the ocean beach is 200 feet away, the bay beach is just across the street down one block -- both have lifeguards. This home appeared in American Bungalow magazine.
