RECESS TIME:The Old Florida Beach Community is located on a wide swath of beautiful white sand in front of the royal blue and kelly green Gulf of Mexico on the south side and on Draper Lake (which sometimes empties out into the Gulf) on the west side. When you want a change of pace from the beach, you can fish from the dock on Draper Lake (fishing poles furnished) or launch a kayak or canoe into the lake or Gulf. There is also a community swimming pool available for a change of pace.... Beautifully decorated and fully furnished very spacious gulf-view custom designed home 300' from beach walkover sleeps 10 with 4.5 baths in 2700 sq ft. 5 sleeping areas includes 3 suites with private baths, TV's, VCR or DVD in each room, phones in each, cathedral or 10' ceilings; 42 x 70 whirlpool and separate shower in 1st floor master; 1 king, 3 queens; additional sleeping areas include built-in twin bunks in the 2nd floor of the tower and a queen sleeper sofa in the 3rd floor tower room (which comes equipped with a TV, DVD, microwave, bar sink and small refrigerator); kitchen: two full size refrigerators and bar sink in addition to a double sink with dishwasher, disposal, ice makers, microwave, etc; great room has a two story ceiling with gas fireplace and hardwood floors; 32' wicker-furnished porch off the great room, private desk niche equipped with a fax and copy machine and a computer printer on second floor; upstairs and downstairs decks for sunbathing, morning coffee, etc; of course there is a laundry area with washer/dryer, ironing board and iron. Enjoy 5 TV's that receive 135 channels including Starz and Encore, high speed internet ad free local and long distance in continental US.
TIME OUT: Carriage House (above detached garage - behind Recess Time): sleeps 2 - very comfortable and appealing 550 sq ft apt. with private entrance has 23' combined living/complete kitchen area, TV (with 135 channels). VCR, separate bedroom (queen bed), full bath, washer/dryer and private balcony for coffee and sunbathing with great views of the Gulf. Wireless internet here too.
Rent RECESS TIME only or add TIME OUT for grandparents or just-married young couple: Recess Time has a limit of 10, together the limit is 14.

Why the Owner Chose Old Florida Beach
We never had any intention of purchasing property in Florida - or of spending much time here. And then, after a conference nearby we came for a weekend and fell in love with Santa Rosa Beach....We truly feel that it is our Paradise. We have been to many beaches in the US and elsewhere and have not been anyplace that compares to our beautiful beach!!
The Unique Benefits of this House and Carriage House
We built our home so that it serves well for full time living (it is our primary home) and also is comfortable for the large groups that generally gather for a week's beach vacation. The open great room (living, dining, kitchen) comfortably holds large groups and yet is cozy for those times when just my husband and I are here. We have large covered porches with comfortable wicker furniture for outside living, and open decks for enjoying the sun at other times.
