This Old House, the award winning PBS TV program, dedicated its entire Season 25: The Bermuda Project to filming the restoration of this property. Located in the residential part of historic St Georges, Harbour View is set amongst the winding alleyways of this UNESCO World Heritage towne.
The towne is Bermuda's original capital established by the first British settlers. It features cobbled roads with quaint little shops bordering the St Georges Harbour. Pastel homes line narrow alleys that are punctuated by hedgerows and limestone walls. There is easy access to all of the town's amenities including restaurants, pubs, museums, shopping, and watersports! There are 4 beaches within walking distance.
The house features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. (There is an attached studio on property that is occasionally occupied by the visiting managers or their guests.) Upstairs pad across walnut floors to the master bedroom with its king bed and ensuite spa featuring a Kohler sok tub, standalone shower, and double sinks with cascading spouts. The master bedroom leads onto the verandah and then a private deck overlooking the harbour.
The 2nd bedroom features a king bed, and the third bedroom has a queen murphy bed. These rooms share a 2nd bathroom with tub and shower combo. Downstairs is a large gourmet open plan and den filled with Kitchen aid stainless steel appliances, 2 ranges, wine cooler, power sink, and dishwasher. There is a dining room filled with rosewood dining room table and display cabinets, all on maple wood floors.
This steps down to the living room with porcelanosa tiled floor, beautiful Drexel Heritage leather furniture facing french doors leading out to the colorful Mexican colonial travertine tiled courtyard with fountains, swimspa and deck.
