This is a GREAT place to stay and I highly recommend it. I will be staying here again when I travel back to New York and I recommend this apartment to my family and friends. My sister and I (both under 30) stayed here on a girls weekend in October. We loved it. It was close to the 7 train which took us into the city. Isabelle and her husband were great and made us feel right at home. She recommended restaurants, sights to see, and explained to us the subway/train. The apartment was warm, cozy, and makes you feel at home.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, tourists without a car.

What a wonderful place to stay! We originally booked for 5 days but was so impressed with the location and Isabelle's hospitality we stayed an additional 6 days. Isabelle is a wonderful hostess and has an amazing place only a few minutes from New York. The apartment was so comfortable, clean, warm and friendly, you are made so welcome by Isabelle and her lovely husband and very friendly dog. Thanks Isabelle for making our visit to New York so wonderful.....Anne

I stayed at Isabelle's apartment for five weeks from July 26 - August 30, 2011 (including hurricane Irene!). The apartment is comfortable, well equipped (it even has a dishwasher), spotless (cleaned weekly with towel and bed linen change), and quiet. It's a two minute walk from Woodside/61st Street station (LIRR and NYC subway #7 line). The apartment is at the rear on the main floor of a three-flat. Isabelle and her husband live on the second floor (with their very friendly dog). Isabelle gave me a conducted tour of Woodside upon my arrival, and made sure that I had everything I needed throughout my stay. I was even invited to join the whole family for a post-Irene impromptu lunch - I should mention that Isabelle is an excellent cook too! Isabelle responded to my first email inquiry within 10 minutes! Isabelle and her husband are both very personable, and my whole experience from first inquiry to departure couldn't have been improved upon. I recommend this property without hesitation.

When my work required a four month stay in NY I knew a hotel was not the way to go. I needed a short term , furnished apt. with easy access to Queens and the city. Isabelle's fit the bill. From my first calls and emails til the day I left Isabelle and her husband's hospitality were top notch. They were incredibly helpful and generous and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. The apt. was perfect...clean, well furnished and quite. Plus. everything you would need is within walking distance (restaurants, groceries, laundry, subway and train). When my family came up for a week long visit Isabelle served as our hostess and tour guide. Her tips on navigating the city were invaluable. Whether you need to stay in NY for 4 days or 4 months Isabelle's is the place for you!

I stayed here 3 nights in November with my nearly 70 year old mother. The place was clean, comfortable, beautiful, and Isabelle was the best hostess I have ever had! We were in a very safe residential area within 2 blocks of both the Long Island Rail Road and the 7 Train. This provided easy navigation to anywhere in the city. I highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Fantastic apartment and location

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights during the US Open. The apartment was clean and in great condition (A/C worked very well). Located 2 blocks from the #7 train, we rode into Manhattan (15-20 min ride) in the mornings and to the US Open in the evenings (10-15 min ride). We felt safe everywhere we went, including when returning late at night. Isabelle was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I highly recommend this apartment.

We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the beautiful rental. Isabelle and her husband couldn't have been nicer and we are very much looking forward to another visit. Isabelle walked us to the village, showed us the train station, and left us at a restaurant she recommended for a drink and a bite to eat. We ended up having to leave a day early and not only was Isabelle nice enough to let our son and a friend take our place. They went out for the evening and Isabelle had the daybed all ready for one of them to use when they returned. She just goes above and beyond in every area. (Even after we set off the smoke alarm cooking!) She takes it all in stride. We have stayed in a lot of places and this is the very first time I felt the need to write a thank you. Our stay was 10 nights (Apr 26- May 6/09) in this lovely decorated apartment. The apartment was clean with lots of space, the bed was very comfortable and the newly renovated kitchen & bathroom were beautiful. It is located in a nice, safe, quiet & peaceful neighbourhood. It has everything you need within walking distance. The subway & the train are only a block & half away. It was easy to get into Manhattan to see a musical show or go sightseeing. Then come back to the Woodside neighbourhood to relax and unwind after a busy day in the city. There is great little pub "The Cuckoo Nest" just down the street to help you unwind too! Isabelle was very friendly and helpful, she's a wonderful hostess! This was our first experience renting an apartment on a vacation. We had a great time and strongly recommend you try it!

Me and my mother stayed at La Maison D'Isabelle for 8 nights earlier this month and had a fantastic time. The studio is very specious with lots of character and the beds are very comfortable. There was a flat screen TV, the fridge was filled with some lovely breakfast items and there were plenty of very nice toiletries in the bathroom. The patio area was great, too. We enjoyed some great breakfasts and dinners outside watching squirrels and birds which you will hardly find anywhere else in New York City. Woodside is a good part of Queens and close to both Manhattan and JFK. An added bonus also was Isabelles kindness and lovely personality. She made us feel right at home and had great tips for us. We will definitely stay again whenever we get back to NYC and can highly recommend it to everyone else.
