Everyone in the family will enjoy vacationing at this home, even the family pet(s)! This is a mainly one story house with an additional large second master suite upstairs. There are beautiful hardwood floors and 10 ft ceilings throughout. The eating area seats 16 and the kitchen serves 16. All the comforts of your home kitchen are present, including double oven, stove with bridge burner, counter appliances (even a waffle maker), barware and an extensive spice collection. NEW in 2010: wine cooler and 2 complimentary bottles of local wine. The Great Room has a built-in surround sound system with DVD and CD capability plus radio and the coffee table pulls up to eating height for TV dinners or drinks and snacks.
The downstairs master suite has a lighted, coffered ceiling, whirlpool tub and separate glass enclosed deluxe shower with five showerheads and tiled bench. All rooms have ceiling fans with variable speed and lights with dimmers. A very large second master suite is upstairs, perfect for you, your in-laws, teens or family of four.
The garage has been converted to a private, air-conditioned game room and boasts: championship ping pong table, foosball, air hockey, and darts as well as four lawn games if desired. The garage is also the pet room (bowls, bed & toy, newspaper, and doggie pick-up bags provided), and leads out to the well-manicured corner lot with a pet fence encircling the entire lot (instructions, flags, and three collars provided). For the beach, you will find a deluxe beach cart, beach umbrella, two beach chairs, two boogie boards, a beach cooler, and beach bag with two beach blankets. There are also two new single-speed bicyles with baskets. There is also a second refrigerator in the garage for surplus beverages, crabs, watermelons, corn-on-the-cob, etc. Be sure to enjoy the local produce!
The house is located in the oval-shaped Commons neighborhood of the Bayside community. There are lit 4' wide sidewalks along every street in Bayside to safely enjoy. Grocery shopping for your week could not be easier or more enjoyable with the upscale Harris Teeter grocery store and pharmacy within the entrance to Bayside (be sure to get your $1 DVD rentals at the Redbox inside).
Activities open to the public in Bayside include: the Carousel (for kids of all ages), the custom Kids' Playground, and the Open Air Stage all at the Town Center at the Bayside Entrance; the bike path, nature trail, kayak and canoe launch, boardwalk, gazebo, and Assawoman Bay beach all at "the Point" where Bayside meets the Bay. A map of the community and additional Bayside literature will be posted inside the house.
If you purchase the Bayside Recreation package, you can use all the sports facilities (except the golf course). Within a short walk of the house is the Commons pool (main pool + baby pool). A longer walk will take you to Sun Ridge Recreation Center, with its 4,000 sq ft pool, kid splash zone, adult hot tub, snack bar, championship tennis courts, fitness center, basketball court, soccer field, and beach volleyball court. The pool time alone is worth the package deal, believe me.

We had a wonderful time staying here with friends over Labor Day Weekend. The game room in the garage was a real treat for the kids. The community has so much to offer - nice pools, an awesome playground, free s'mores, a concert and fireworks! The house is immaculate, and detailed instructions are provided on how to operate everything in it. It was really a terrific weekend and we thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. Looking forward to a return visit - hopefully for a whole week next time!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our 6th annual family reunion in 6 difference locations and definitely recommend it to other families. The home was well-maintained and the owners were so helpful. The teens loved the game room, community was convenient and perfect for biking, running, basketball (too cool to swim) and the meals were prepared in a well equipped kitchen by our amateur chefs. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated and greater than our expectations and we hope to visit again.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had our family reunion over labor day. The house was amazing. The description was accurate and the photos reflect the house. Actually, the house is more beautiful than described. The Bayside community is private and clean. Everyone enjoyed the activities. The Bergers were very helpful with our questions. We are planning on returning.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed a week long stay in the Berger's Beautiful Home for our family vacation. 5 Grown Ups, 3 Children, & Our Family Dog were Very comfortable. This property is in its inaugural year of being a rental and we, my husband and I, the owners, are very excited! Completed in December 2006, the home was our full-time residence for two years. Much of our fine furniture and decorative touches, including artwork, still remain. Comments we have had from visitors and guests include: very bright, colorful, beachy-but-not-too-beachy decor; inviting open floor plan with tall ceilings, large crown and base moldings; plenty of room; great environment for entertaining everyone (including kids, teens, older people, pets, etc). We kept our four dogs in the heated and air-conditioned garage. The professionally-installed underground pet fence was perfect for all of them, even down to a 10-lb Pekingese. We even have a stubborn dog collar which worked for our 40-lb born-to-run bird dog. The garage was made into a game room after we left and is ready for play. About the owner: My husband, Mike, and I have been married for four years and we now have a nearly 2 year old boy, Joey. After living in this home happily with our four dogs full time for two years, we moved in with family in nearby Delmar to help with Joey. For a living, we rent apartments, houses, and trailers outside of Salisbury. We are therefore familiar with rentals, but this is our only VACATION rental, and it is a very personal labor of love for us. We love this house, this community, and this area. We are looking for conscientious renters who will care for our property like their own. Kids, seniors, pets, and the handicapped are all welcome.
Why the Owner Chose Fenwick Island:
We chose to buy in Bayside because we were impressed with the Carl Freeman builders and communities. We chose the Selbyville-Fenwick Island location to be near the beach, but it's also only 30 minutes away from Salisbury. It's also a 45 minute ride straight down Rt 54 from our former and current houses in Delmar.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home at Bayside is all about relaxing. I enjoy walking the dogs anytime day or night along the lit sidewalks or playing with them in our own corner lot, while my husband enjoys the large screen TV and fireplace in the Great Room. For our renters, we have added a game room in the garage. There is a jetted tub and a deluxe five-headed shower to melt the stress away. There is space for everyone to be alone, yet there are gathering spaces large enough for all of you to be together. The grocery store and Starbucks at Harris Teeter is incredibly convenient and enjoyable--you'll find yourself going everyday as a pasttime. We look forward to taking our son on the Carousel and playground when he's older! And, there is something for everyone at the Josh Freeman Outdoor Stage: music, theater, and movies, all for free.
