It is here where you can snorkel and swim directly outside your door or quietly sunbathe on the beach. If you are interested in Water sports... it is just a step away next door at Rum Point where you can book Dive/Snorkel/Stingray trips or rent Kayaks/Boats/Wave runners 7 days a week!
Just steps away you can have lunch on the beach or enjoy an evening of fine dining at the Rum Point Club or enjoy lunch and dinner at the Kaibo Yacht Club just down the road.
With full time on-site Management the Retreat offers a welcoming staff to assist you with all of your rental needs whether it is making dinner reservations, arranging for childcare, transportation, catering or booking a quiet in-residence massage. My husband and 1yr old son stayed here recently and it was just perfect for us. This unit is actually one of the closest to Rum Point (so close, in fact, that our baby monitor worked while at the Rum Point restaraunt!). Absolutely no intrusive noise from Rum Point. The best things about the condo: -Cleanliness (and I am picky) -Proximity to Rum Point activities -Small, private, gorgeous beach if you wanted to get away from the Rum Point crowd. -Extremely helpful owner...we needed a last minute, shorter stay and he was very accomodating. -Views from the condo...ocean, ocean, ocean! -Babysitting! The management office helped us find someone to watch our son for the afternoon and she was reliable, prompt, and my son loved her. -The screened in porch. No bugs! Less good things about the condo -It is a long drive from the airport (45 minutes or so) and a long ways from the activities on the west side of the island. Not necesarily bad, but just FYI. -I made a meal in the kitchen and generally found it well stocked, but was missing a large casserole dish to bake in. Pick up a disposable one at the store if you are cooking. Also, somewhat limited pantry space if you are there for a long stay. -Long way from a big grocery store, so stock up on the way in. You are close to several smaller ones with basic supplies. -You eventually have to leave and go home. Overall, we could not have enjoyed our stay more and would love to return!

My family and I stayed in June. First the condo was well equipped and clean. The owner and the condo managers were all a pleasure. The location of the condo was facing the Rum Point pier which made for some spectacular views. We were on our balcony every day and night enjoying them. Being right next to Rum Point was a bonus. Whenever we wanted to enjoy it we just walked over. The Retreat felt like you had your own piece of paradise. We are already missing it and hope to be back soon!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We have stayed at the Reserve several times. It is a perfect location on the north shore for snorkeling and relaxing. Our two bdrm condo was just right for two couples.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
We couldn't have asked for more.

We had such a great week. The weather was perfect, the condo was fantastic and the beach was gorgeous. We enjoyed almost a private beach with lots of beach chairs, great snorkeling just off shore and beautiful sunsets every night. The condo had everything we needed and then some. It was clean, comfortable, well decorated and had a great view of the ocean. When we didn't feel like cooking we walked next door for a casual meal. I'd go back every year if I could. Thank you for sharing your home in paradise.

We just spent a fabulous week at The Retreat at Rum Point. The condo was comfortable with everything we needed to cook. It has a beautfiul view of the pier next door and is just a few steps from the condo to the beach. One thing we particularly enjoyed was walking down the beach to the public access, swimming out and letting the current carry us back to The Retreat while we watched the fish, lobsters, eels, etc. It was like swimming in an aquarieum - wonderful! The beach in front of the condo was shallow and calm, so no worries about kids getting caught up in a current. They can play and build sandcastles while Mom and Dad relax. Wireless internet was a nice perk so we could stay in touch with everyone back home.
