  Roswell Roost could not be more perfect. It has every comfort of home in a quiet, cute and cozy, yet roomy home. The beds were so comfortable, the decor is pretty, everything works perfectly. Our dogs were happy and safe in the large fenced yard. I was concerned before arriving because there are no photos of the bathrooms, but my fears were unfounded. The bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed for hair and make-up, Spotlessly clean even in the harsh New Mexico climate. I can't wait to return!

  What a wonderful place to visit! I have to say that I was a little nervous about staying here after reading one of the reviews, but am so happy I put it behind me and booked Roswell Roost! What a peaceful serene retreat! The sunset picture is exactly what you get most nights! The house is impeccably clean, nicely furnished, kitchen has it all. I loved that it has a fenced in yard, with lock on the gate, so that I could feel safe being a single traveler! I want to go back in the summer months to pick from all the wonderful fruit trees.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  The prefabricated house is so-so and the area is run-down, Lots of barking and yapping dogs in the area that can be annoying when the windows are open on pleasant fall days. Watch out for puncture vine stickers, if you have a bicycle with you.

  Owner response: I am sorry you did not have a favorable experience while you were staying at Roswell Roost, I am perplexed though because when we spoke on the phone you were very happy with the home, you complimented me on the abundant fluffy towels, the large amount of clothes hangers in the closets and how well equipped the kitchen was……Not sure why you opened the windows in the home because most days it is very windy in Roswell and the home is equipped with a wonderful air-conditioner?? Can’t do anything about the stickers…..Peace be with you and yours.

  I rented this property for a week. My first impression was not very good. This house is located in a very shaby neighborhood. Junk cars, abandone trailer homes and run down houses. Trash everywhere. The property it self was very clean and neat. The house was very nice inside and out. The TV would not work . It was stuck on the DVD mode so no regular TV. I called the landlady and she said she would send someone to fix it. It never got fixed. The outside BBQ area was unusable. All the chairs and the table was heavily spotted with bird dung. Maybe that is where the name Roost came from.

  Owner response: I am sorry Dick that you had problems with the channel remotes....One was for the Television (to turn on the TV and volume) and one was for the Cable (changing channels). Nothing was stuck on DVD mode - guest prior to you did not have a problem nor the returning guest right after you did not have a problem. As I had mentioned to you - I was out of town and I had a friend come by to show you how to use the remotes but you were not home.....Glad you enjoyed the home but I can't control the birds.

  I absolutely loved my stay at the Roswell Roost! I was there in September and found the house and location very relaxing! I enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting in the front and being able to watch the sunsets over the open filled. Overall a cute place and a home a way from home.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  This was a great property for our family 4 (kids 4 & 6). Roswell is small so being "out of town" is not inconvenient. We went to White Sands and Carlsbad Caverns over a 3 day weekend. The owner gave me different directions to White Sands and it was a beautiful route. There is a "Welcome Book" inside with directions and suggestions of places to go. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Much better than staying in any hotel in Roswell.

  My son & I really enjoyed our stay at Roswell Roost this month. It was situated toward the outskirts of town, in a quite neighborhood. Our only regret was that the days we were there, our schedule was so full that we had very little time to enjoy the comforts of this lovely home. Next time we come, we'll have to make sure we pencil in more time to actually stay put and relax! I certainly would have liked more time to get more creative in the well equipped kitchen. We certainly would recommend Roswell Roost to our friends and family while visiting the Roswell area.

  We had a great time at Roswell Roost. In addition to exploring Roswell, we had a great time driving the Billy the Kid Scenic Byway. From here we also visited Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. The high end appliances made us feel right at home. We would recommend this house to anyone.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
