Enjoy a great family vacation in this beautifully decorated nearly new five bedroom home, situated at the end of one of the few “natural” canals with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway. Large back yard not typical of beach houses, and your own private dock, great for swimming, fishing, crabbing, and just relaxing. So convenient, just three blocks to Museum, shops, arcade, Putt-Putt, and restaurants, an easy stroll for an evening dinner.
Five comfortable bedrooms with private baths. Cable TV with DVR/VCR in all bedrooms. Two master bedrooms with queen bed and large reading chair that opens into a single bed. Two bedrooms with queen and double, and colorful kids’ suite with trapeze beds, single over double, but plenty large and comfortable for a large family. For overflow there is a queen sofa bed in living room. Two large decks, an upper for sunning, and an equally large, covered lower deck with screened porch at one end. Full size, front load washer and dryer.
Large, open living room with high ceiling, comfortable seating and large TV with DVR/VCR built in over tiled fireplace. Office nook on second floor with free wireless DSL, printer, and fax. Large table seats twelve plus additional seating for eight and a screened porch off dining area. Large, open kitchen with stainless appliances, well equipped.
Ground level covered parking for six cars and spacious driveway. Large lockable storage room on ground floor and large ground level entry foyer with additional space for personal items. Grill in back yard next to canal and picnic table to hold all the cook’s supplies.

Loads of golf courses and deep sea fishing charters are plentiful. We had another great OIB vacation. Your house worked very well for us. The girls loved not sharing a bathroom and we all liked the location. I asked the other two couples about going early again next year and it seems nobody wants to make that decision now. Guess we'll just wait and see what happens. Thanks again!

Hi Bill, Thanks for your email. What can I say....wonderful week and fantastic house. We wanted for nothing. Your home is just so comfortable, plenty of room, perfect spot....it was just great. The beach access was perfect, we walked Ethan to the park and ice cream, had much sitting on the decks (all of them)....just wonderful. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity of renting from you. Your home really shows that you care. Friday evening was especially great....weather cleared out with the humidity, great sunset and the we sat on the deck and listened to the Friday night band playing at the park. Was great! We had a GREAT time at Ocean Isle. Your home was as beautiful as the photos promised. Even my youngest sister, who is the most discriminating, was very pleased with everything. We had great weather - just a little rain. We will let you know about next Memorial Day. All the kids were ready to sign up again for next year, but the adults are a little more cautious because all of us know how plans can change in a year. I just wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed staying in your home. We had such a wonderful time. So good in fact, my husband and I are looking to purchase a home there hopefully soon. The kids loved catching crab! And I loved cooking them up. Also, my husband had a great time with his new boat toy. We found several beaches to explore and we even took our portable grill and had lunch on them. Southport was also a great destination. But I have to say our favorite thing was the Friday night concert - what a great place for families. I have always been a huge Emerald Isle fan - but now I have converted to Ocean Isle. Your house was perfect! We truly loved so much about it. So much that my son kept asking,” can we buy it"? It is a beautiful house. It was our first time staying on the canal and we really liked. My children loved being down by the water and taking rides on the boat. Location is perfect. I can not think of anything negative. It was a wonderful time. The weather was hot but we never missed a day at the beach and the rain seemed to miss us or hit us at night which was perfect. Next year we are heading to Disney instead of the beach so you may welcome your home so someone else may enjoy it. Thanks for being so easy to work. It was my first time using VRBO. Wow, you were up early and beat me to the punch. I was planning to e-mail you today and tell you how we ALL loved your house. It is beautiful and worked so well for our family. We have had beachfront before, but all agreed that we enjoyed our short walk to the beach. Even though our son-in-law and his boat were not able to come due to his work (civil engineer with his own business), we enjoyed the dock for fishing, crabbing and even some swimming. Our older grandsons enjoyed the miniature golf and surf shop on their own. Never have we stayed in a house that was so well equipped and so well labeled. The code for the door was wonderful. We could lock the doors and leave without worry or keeping up with keys. A real plus for a big family. I was amazed at the thought that had gone into stocking the house - even to first aid and directions to hospital, etc. Thank you and your wife for all the consideration and hard work that went into making the house such a special one for our family! Well, we have visited different beaches and different homes for our extended family vacation over the past few years...Carolina Beach, Litchfield, Harbour Island...and so far this is the first place where everyone has liked everything! And, that can be hard with that large of a group. So, we would definitely like to stay again (plus it makes it much easier on myself, given the task of finding/choosing a house:). Your home at Ocean Isle was wonderful! We had a fantastic time! It is a perfect location. Thank you so much for sharing it. We loved being on the canal and still being a close walk to the beach and town. We brought our boat and the boys enjoyed having that as an option. Especially my 3-yr old. :) He had a great time fishing with daddy. We even liked being that close to the water tower. It made a great landmark when we went running and bike riding...easy to tell how far we had to go to get back. :) It was really hard to leave! Thanks again for your hospitality.
