A paradise for snowmobiling with trails connected to home (just pull out of heated 3 car garage) and ride for miles to Gull and Paul B. Trail. Ski gull is 10 minutes away with tubing and skiing. Red Sand Retreat was a fantastic desitination for a weekend get-a-way. The house was beautiful and it provided ample space for the four couples on the trip. The house had every amenity we needed and more firewood then we could imagine. Kari was very easy to work with and provided us with detailed directions and check-in/out materials. We plan to head back when we have more snow!

This is a great place to get away with friends and family to enjoy the beautifull quite location of a lakeside retreat. Well stocked with fish and easy access to the on site pontoon boat from this private beach front location. We love the open fire in the great room and sitting lake side next to the fire pit in the evening with a glass of wine or beer looking at all the wild life. For those who enjoy long walks or a game of tennis this large spacious comfortable lake house has everything on site. This large lake house property is located just a short 7-min drive into Baxter town center and you have every convenience at your disposal. We have always enjoyed our time at this retreat and especially in January 2011 we came to ride the sowmobiles along the many trails, this is a fantastic location to have both an active or peaceful holiday break in this area of Minnesota.

A wonderful place to enjoy time with family and friends. Fishing from the dock or the pontoon. Riding bicycles, playing tennis, swimming on and on. All the activities are on site. The house is spacious and offers plenty of room to enjoy activities with the entire family or quiet nooks to just relax and read a good book. Absolutely, something for everyone of all ages! Our family can't wait to be there again and enjoy!

This piece of property is a pure north woods experience with the style and ambiance of a five star hotel. The cleanliness and décor were top notch along with plenty of room for a huge group if desired. Amenities were endless, actives the same. This extremely quite location is surrounded by spectacular views. We saw deer grazing outside while having coffee one morning. I visited here with my wife and two children along with seven additional guests. Never waited for a bathroom, yes that roomy. Even though this location was very private and isolated shopping for provisions and other essentials was a ten to fifteen minute drive. There were several restaurants near by, as well as some very nice golf courses. This vacation spot is perfect for anyone from the avid angler to the weekend golf warrior to the family just looking to relax and enjoy the view.

I found paradise at Red Sands Retreat. The house was charming. Each room uniquely decorated with a childs room done in monkeys and giraffes. It was spotless and equipped with all your daily needs from bathrooms to kitchen. The property was fabulous. A dock, sandy beach, tennis courts, bikes, and boating. We didn't have enough time to do all the activities in 4 days. Stay longer if you can. The evenings were beautiful and peaceful as we sat around the campfire. I did't want to leave.

We just left "red sand retreat," it was our first trip to MN and we had a great time. We had 8 adults and 3 kids under 3, we all had our own room and there were rooms we didn't even use. My 18 month old loved playing in the sand, water and running around the yard. The master suite was gorgeous with a jacuzzi tub and walk in double shower. They had lots of activities to do on the property and lake. My husband caught 6 fish on the pontoon which was the highlight of his day. We will definately plan another vacation to this house. I highly recommend it to families and couples.
