Awesome 4 bedroom 4000 sq ft cedar home on Lake Charlevoix's north shore with million dollar sunsets every night. The master suite is 600 sq ft with Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace, private balcony and a great sitting area to relax away from it all complete with TV/ DVD player. The other 3 bedrooms also have queen beds and one of them has a child's bed plus sliding glass door & walkout to the beach. All have lake view.
This home is unique with three different great rooms. The kitchen/family room is fun to cook and entertain in, while the dinning/living room with it's large field stone wall is a great place to feel "up-north" in, and last but not least is the walkout game room. Play pool, foosball, darts, pin ball, or just relax in the sitting area of the game room. This area along with the family room have sofa sleepers for additional sleeping. The library has a queen bed and is semi-private also. The kitchen/family room and the game room have flat screen t.v./dvd players with video libraries.
The real fun is the beach !! Big enough for a wedding of 80 people. Play ping pong in the sand or horseshoes in the yard. The gazebo has a bar counter and sitting area in the shade or lay out on the sand catching a tan. The camper is ideal for a family and sleeps 6-8. The firepit is also in the sand so bring some wood and have a campfire! Bring your speed boat and use the 4000 lb electric hoist with canopy for all your water sports . Enjoy the warm hot tub late at night and watch for shooting stars. We keep it hot at 98 degrees so the kids can play in it all day. You can also crank it up to 104 to sooth those aching muscles.
This home is ideal for those who want to get everyone together for a perfect indoor/outdoor, waterfront vacation! We call this home "The Reunion Lodge". This is where we have our reunions.

We have 5 acres and a very private setting for birthdays, small weddings, and reunions. That's why we named our home The Reunion Lodge. There is plenty of parking so bring your happy, leave your grumpy at home. You deserve a vacation like this.

Dear Bob and Liz, Thank you SO much for sharing your home with us. We spent a long weekend in late February at the "Reunion Lodge" and we already hoping to return. The location of the home is perfect: 15 minutes to Boyne Mtn, 20+ minutes to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. With the exception of stopping in town for groceries, there was no need to even leave the lodge. There was more than ample sleeping space and everything we needed was provided! We enjoyed hours in the hot tub, playing fooseball, pool, darts and the arcade game. We even cleared and area on the lake to enjoy some ice skating! When we all tired for "partying" the whole weekend long, we just pulled movies off the shelf and all snuggled up to the large flat screen TV in the basement. The photos do not do the place justice. The home is clean, in great condition, open, spacious and well stocked. We have already recommended the rental to family members! Thank you both again. We felt so welcome, comfortable and at home! We look forward to returning in the future! Sincerely, Betsy and Cameron Sokolowski (and friends)
Owner response:Even in the middle of winter the lodge has so much to offer. From cross country skiing right out the door and through the state park trails to your own ice skating pond ! Our children played hockey on the ice. We love our lodge and enjoy sharing it with others like you. Bob the owner

Another Incredible Summer Family Vacation at The Kroondky's Cottage

We spent another incredible week at the beautiful Kroondyk Lake Charlevoix home, we could not have asked for better weather the 2nd week in July 2010. Our Family of grandparents, parents, and kids ranging in age from 6 months to 28, all made this vacation wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the week, it was packed full of Golfing, tubing, waterskiing, jet skiing, relaxing on the deck or playing in the sandy beach, playing horseshoes and ping pong or way too competitive Volleyball. We hung out near the water all day, found a nice sand bar 100 feet off the end of the dock that allowed everyone to play keep-away, and lounged on an oversized raft in the sun. At night, we built bonfires, ate smores, and had hours of fun playing cards (another competitive sport). Boyne City by boat for dinner, and Riding huge waves with the Jet- ski made for great times. The house has everything you need, lots of room for each of our families, preparing breakfast and lunch at the cottage worked out great, and a few Bar-B-Q’s hit the spot. We enjoyed the many restaurants in Boyne City, Roberts for Breakfast, and Boyne River Inn for Ribs. We made our way to Charlevoix a couple of times for dinner at The Villager, Scovies, and of course Perch and Whitefish at The Weathervane. This is the one family vacation that everyone enjoys because we are all together. It has become a tradition that our kids look forward to every year. Our family now comes from the Detroit Metro area, Ann Arbor, Illinois, Iowa, and Alaska. Bob goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation at his home Thank You Bob, for allowing us to rent your home and share this absolutely beautiful location. spent the last week in July with my family (6 adults and 6 grandchildren) We quickly named it Camp Kroondyk. It's what we were looking for in an upscale cottage type vacation. Bob has thought of everything to make the week one of our best ever. From the trampoline raft to the hot tub on the beach to the fire pit for smores nightly to the secret room to the pin ball machine to the pop up camper, our kids couldn't have had a better time. Proof of that was the fact that they spent a grand total of 2 hours watching TV the entire week (unbelievable). A small problem with the hot tub water heater and level of salt in the water softener were addressed by Bob immediately. We quickly signed up for next year already. I would suggest that if you're thinking of this rental, that you act early since first time renters almost always become repeat renters---Tim

We enjoyed a great week in August 2009 with the entire Evans Family, grandparents, parents, and kids ranging in age from 7 to 24. Everyone had something to do, whether it was reading a book, relaxing on the deck or down at the sandy beach, or playing horseshoes and ping pong. We loved hanging out near the water by day, renting a jet ski. At night, we built a fire and stargazed! We also went to Mackinaw Island one of the days, which makes for a nice day trip. The house has everything you need. We ate in breakfast and lunch, and for dinner we grilled out, and went into Boyne Falls for a great Mexican meal at The Red Mesa. We will always cherish the fantastic time we had with our father and grandfather, as it was his last trip with his family.

Our experience over all was great. Our only downfall was the weather. We were only there 4 days and the first day was the only one without rain. We made the best of it. House can hold alot of people. You can have your private time also because there are many rooms to choice from. We really enjoyed the deck by hot tub. We brought out our laptop computer played music and danced all night. Our kids are 21-23-26 plus significant others so it was fun partying with them. Hot tub is still functional even in the rain. Stayed out at bonfire till about 3 am. Hopefully we didnt disturb any neighbors. Ample parking- great location to shopping-photos very accurate. The lights guiding walkway were out so it was a little tricky getting to water area at night. We are going back again and hopefully we will be sweating to death from the heat. Thanks Bob
