This is a wonderful house located in the center of beautiful Leland, Michigan. Leland is 1/2 hour from Traverse City and 45 minutes from the Traverse City (Cherry Capital) Airport.
There is a main floor bedroom with a queen bed, air conditioning and a newly remodeled attached bath with a multiple head shower. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed and air conditioning and the other a large bedroom with beds for 4. The kitchen is fully equipped Including almost every way known to make coffee. We also provide some basic cooking supplies such as spices, oil, mustard (last check there were 4 kinds), mayo, teas, some cereal, peanut butter, jam, etc. If you have any special dietary needs you should bring them with you. On the other hand, you might want to go to the Mer (local) store after you see what we have.
The house is just 1/2 block from Lake Michigan, where there is a wonderful mile-long white sand beach. Smaller Lake Leelanau is only a few blocks away. The house is also located just a short walk to Historic "downtown" Leland, including Fishtown, the harbor, marina, shopping, restaurants, galleries, grocery store, library and much more.
Within a short drive are numerous adventures along one of Michigan's Scenic Byways, M-22. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, award winning wineries (more than 11), hiking, bird watching, exploring nearby villages, biking among some of the opportunities. Many of the local roads have wide shoulders or dedicated bike lanes making Leelanau County very bike friendly. There is great fishing in the Big Lake (Michigan) and the Small Lake (Leelanau). Several excellent charter boats leave from Fishtown. There are also casinos just a short drive away.
