This condo is our new favorite place to stay when we visit Destin. It was a very large unit and nicely decorated with a great view. The pools were both great. The owner was also a pleasure to deal with when making reservations. Great price for such a nice condo!

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was our second stay at Sterling Shores, but our first stay in Mr. King's unit and our first experience with VRBO. Mr. King was well-organized, helpful, and very accessible throughout the process. This unit is very spacious and comfortable. The large utility room was great for storing beach gear. We enjoy Sterling Shores because of it's great pools, access to beach while still having great landscaping and greenspace, and nearby restaurants. I will most certainly check Mr. King's calendar before planning our next trip to Destin!

What a great vacation ! My family and had a great time in Destin , FL. and the condo Mr. King rented us was a perfect fit for my (3) boys . Although the rooms appear to brightly painted in the photos they fit the beach theme throughout the condo perfect . The color's also help keep you in a festive spirit. The view was great from the balconies and the rooms were nicely furnished . We would love to return .

This condo is the best, decorated so appropriately for a beach vacation! The weather was great and we had everything we needed. Everyone was particularly pleased to have free wireless internet also. Thanks so much to the King family.

We had a great week at Sterling Shores, primarily because of the location of the property relative to the beach, the pool, and the fabulous condo (Unit 408). The condo is bright, nicely furnished and perfect for our family of 6 (3 y.o triplets and a 15 mo. old). We really liked the security fence around the property as well as the fact that one could walk to several resturants. We are planning to return next year!!! Henry King was honest and easy to work with.

We just returned from a great week in Destin at Unit 408 Sterling Shores. What else can I say except that it was terrific? Mr King's description of the unit is exactly as you will find it. We have stayed at Surfside, Maravilla, Sterling Sands and Sundestin on earlier trips to Destin, but this one is the best. All of Destin is pricy, but in relative terms, this unit is worth every penny. The unit itself is beautiful with a great view. The complex is awesome and very convenient. Our only complaint is the traffic. Coming over the Mid Bay bridge around 4pm on a Saturday, count on it taking over an hour to cover the last 10 miles. The main pool is beautiful and even though it gets pretty crowded we were always able to get some chairs. The staff at SS do their best to keep people from reserving chairs by putting a towel there around 9, then leaving until much later. Also, we did not have to pay extra for internet access. Our favorite restaurant is in Ft Walton and right on 98 about a mile past the main bridge downtown. It is called Staff's and it has great seafood and steaks. Back Porch and Grazi were easy to walk to and pretty good also. There were 7 of us, and we were very comfortable in the unit. Age ranges 18-49 and all of us loved it. Also there were lots of young families with small children and even though crowded, we always found room in and around the pool for all of us, even 4th of July week. Would I rent this unit again? As a matter of fact, I have already asked to reserve it same time next year. Obviously the answer is a resounding, YES. Thanks Henry for letting us use your condo.

This unit is absolutely perfect for a family size of 5-6. The unit was beautifully decorated with full vivrant colors that made it feel "beachy". The unit had every amenity you could want. The owner, Mr. King was a great joy to work with, great communication and informative. We had great weather all week and all in all, highly recommend Sterling Shores - great pool for younger kids with the 0-entry. Walking distance to excellent restaurants including the Back Porch - highly recommend the Grilled Grouper.

What a wonderful property and, especially, unit! It is more beautiful than we had anticipated. Our kids loved playing the games that the owners thoughtfully provided, and Mr. King was genuinely nice in making the arrangements with us. What a wonderful vacation. Thanks!

This has been the fastest week ever! The weather has been very nice and we have taken full advantage of the beaches and pool. In fact-I now fully understand what folks mean when they say they need a vacation to recover from vacation! We have enjoyed your condo a great deal. Our girls say it feels like home and want to decorate our house the same way! The books, games and entertainment center have been a welcome return each evening from fun days in the sun. Another year and we were once again guests in your lovely condo. It always is a pleasure to be able to stay here! We come in and it feels like home. Thank you! The weather was lovely. Some days were mixtures of rain & sun, but never too much of either one. There is always a place at the beach or the pool waiting for us and we take full advantage of both.
