Location: Woodland Park, South Central, Colorado, USA (Woodland PArk)

Accommodations:  House, 4 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-10)

This property is a semi-custom home in a good neighborhood in Woodland Park, Colorado. It is typical of the multi-level homes in Colorado, being that the master is on the upper level, two bedrooms and living room, dining, room, and kitchen on main level, and family room, 4th bedroom and garage on ground level. The home is nestled in the trees, and the lot is a bit sloping. There is an outdoor hot tub on the spacious deck with a large patio table seating 6. The garage is available to park one car, but there is plenty of additional parking.

Woodland Park is at 8500 feet, so no air conditioning is needed. If it gets a bit warm, you open a window and let some breeze blow through the home. At night the temperatures fall to in the 40’s, always cooling off the home. You will be able to sleep with a light blanket year round.

Woodland Park is located 18 miles west of Colorado Springs. In addition to all the tourist destinations in Colorado Springs like the Air Force Academy and Pikes Peak, there are a lot of local Woodland Park functions that keep the town interesting. On the 4th of July there is an old fashioned park gathering with fireworks, and on the 5th of July the Colorado Springs symphony comes to Woodland Park to perform in a free show again with fireworks. Woodland Park hosts a classic car show, two city wide yard sales, an October fest, an Art in the Park craft weekend. Popular in town is the Dinosaur Museum and Bierworks. 18 miles further into Teller County is Cripple Creek with limited stakes gambling, the Molly Kathleen Gold Mine and the Teller County Heritage Center.

Woodland Park has fishing, hiking and camping within minutes of the center of town. A short drive away is 11-mile Canyon, Breckenridge and the Royal Gorge. A week is probably not enough time to enjoy all that the area has to offer, but it’s a start! Many of the visitors to our area come time and time again. And a few decide to move here after visiting.

If you have more questions that we have not answered, please either email or call. We don’t think you will be disappointed if you plan a vacation to this area and stay in our Comfortable Mountain Home.
