This lovely 600 square foot cottage is located on the ocean side of Puako Beach Drive within the Hale Hualalai Estate. It has its own separate driveway and is partitioned off of the estate grounds by landscaping and perimeter gates. Ocean access is a short walk along Puako Beach Drive.
The home has been renovated with a modern bath and kitchen. Both areas are well appointed with Corian counters. The kitchen has two under counter Subzero refer/freezers. There is a spacious living/dining area and open beam ceilings throughout.
The Mauna Lani Resort, Mauna Kea Resort and Waikoloa Beach Resort are all a short drive away for fine dining and shopping. The weather is the finest on the Big Island, especially during the winter months. Come enjoy this beautiful cottage in desirable Puako!

Thank you Frank for opening up this lovely cottage to guests! We spent 6 nights here and loved the open space the cottage offers.I loved the bathroom with it's gorgeous etched glass shower and floor to ceiling mirror and lots of counter and storage space. I love how the cottage has an abundance of natural light and the birds wake you in the morning with their song. It's very private and an excellent location close to several of the best beaches on the island. You will see turtles and great sunsets and Puako beach daily. You can't go wrong staying here..the weather is the best on the island, it's quiet and not commercial and it's centrally located to anything you may need. I plan to come back for a longer stay soon! Oh and the cottage is full of Frank's art work..you will want to take one home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The perfect Hawaiian experience for anyone who desires quiet, privacy and the serenity of Puako's quaint location. Cool evening breezes for restful sleep---clean and well-maintained accomodations---beautiful mature trees filled with song birds---gecko visits are charming and entertaining. A 3-minute stroll to the beach access delights you with beautiful sunsets and sea turtle sightings. Everything from grocery stores to world-class retaurants are within a 10-minute drive. Highly recommend this cottage to family and friends who seek an escape from life's hustle and bustle.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was an amazing experience! We love this little private cottage. We felt very comfortable and it had everything we needed and more. We slept with the windows open. The air was fresh and everything smelled good! We could drink the water. Wandering in the neighborhood we felt safe and happy. We've been to lots of nice high end places and done fun things, but staying at the cottage truly allowed us to truly. No stress, just beauty and nature surrounding us. The sounds of the waves crashing were really peaceful. Magnificent turtles were everywhere. Wild dragon fruit just waiting to be picked and eaten. What more can we say! It was so hard coming home. What you see in the ad is exactly what you get. Perfect for my husband and I to "get away" This cottage was as comfortable to be in as if I were in my own home. Great location to nearby snorkel sights, great views short walk away. Peace and tranquility is what you will find here. Would definitely stay here in the futureRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I love this cottage. It exemplifies the phrase "simple elegance". It is spacious, clean and has a nice warm, cozy and private feeling. I quickly felt like I was "home". It is situated perfectly for daily walks along the Puako beach and then quick access to great beaches as well as restaurants and shops. The Puako General Store is just down the street if you want to rent a movie or need a quick treat. The owners home is on the property, but this cottage is completely private with it's own driveway entrance. However, it's nice to have the owner nearby in case you need something. He is very respectful of the tenants privacy and is a great guy. I was invited to go to a yoga class he teaches at one of the hotels nearby and it was such a nice gift. I look forward to staying at this cottage again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A well designed cottage with the air of sophistication. The cottage is VERY clean, neat, well designed, well maintained and an organized space.The bed and furniture are cozy and comfortable. It is a charming and romantic place in a excellent location. The neighborhood is friendly and laid back. The walk to the water takes about 2 minutes and the turtles are abundant. The best beaches on the island are about a 10 minute drive away. The owner is helpful and extremely accommodating. I have stayed at numerous places on this area over the years and this is my all time favorite. My last two vacations were spent at the cottage in 2010 and 2011 and I HIGHLY recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I receive a lot of joy making my cottage available for guests who love the Big Island and especially Puako. The cottage was completely remodeled and upgraded in all areas and is very comfortable to relax in with all of the modern conveniences while retaining the charm of a simple 600 sf Puako beach cottage. The cottage is a perfect launching point to explore numerous ocean and land activities along the Kohala Coast. I enjoy preparing the cottage for guest arrivals, personally cleaning the cottage and garden courtyard and greeting them and checking in occasionally to make sure their stay flows easily.
