After many years of architectural renovation, Place de la République and the area near the Canal Saint Martin have once again found the charm they possessed at the turn of the 19th century. Today it is one of the most popular parts of Paris among all age groups because of its typical Parisian atmosphere, the bucolic surroundings of the Canal Saint Martin and the pleasant night life of the neighborhood. Due to its geographical importance, Place de la République, the second largest square in Paris, is served by five metro lines and a large number of public transportation buses. For those who enjoy walking, Ile de la Cité, the cradle of Paris is within a twenty minute walk through the Marais. A large variety of shops are available close by to this studio.

This very quiet studio is located on the third floor (4th U.S. and England) of a modern apartment building on Boulevard Jules Ferry. The windows opening on a very large lawn area have no buildings in front of them and therefore make the studio very bright and cheerful. The 30m²(310sq/ft)studio has been totally refurbished during the winter of 2008 by the owner, a retired American teacher living in Paris. This studio has a US type kitchen as well as a bathtub and shower combination. Centrally heated with central hot water, all furniture and equipment are new. The studio is designed for two.

  • What a find on VRBO! My husband and I travelled throughout Europe this September and had the pleasure of staying at Michael's apartment September 10th to 14th. It was more than we could ask for comfortable, clean and cozy! It definitely felt like home and had all the amenities and more. It was close to the Metro and the neighbourhood was very interesting!   • This is a great apartment. I highly recommend it, especially for couples. Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. Good location. Close to metro and center. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. The apartment is fully furnished with everything you may need. For everything else, there is a store 20 meters away. If you want to enjoy Paris while staying in a quiet and comfortable place, this is definitely a good choice and a great alternative to a hotel. Mr. & Mrs. A., thank you for everything! Edmond

We had an amazing time and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful...there was every little detail in the house to make the stay soo comfortable that we ended up staying one more night.
