You will absolutely love the quaint and private oceanfront neighborhood called “Croatan” where this home is located.
The home is one street back from the ocean and has beautiful ocean views. A very short walk to two separate beach accesses. It is conveniently located to many Virginia Beach attractions.
Within a mile (a bike ride) you can get to Rudee Inlet for every water sport, the famous Boardwalk, the Virginia Aquarium, MotorWorld and Ocean Breeze Water Park, amazing restaurants, shopping and so much more!
We have owned the home for 6 years and have rented for 2 years. The home is in great condition and has a true coastal feel. It has been an “escape” for us from Washington, DC!
You will enter the Croatan neighborhood and experience instant relaxation :). We have three very busy kids so you will find plenty to keep adults and kids busy! We have a pool table, fooz ball table, 6 TVs, basketball hoop, every sports ball you can think of, body boards/surf boards, 6+ bikes, pool toys, beach toys, beach chairs, an additional refrigerator in the garage, wine refrigerator (2 temps), large pool (HEATED for $300/wk), outdoor shower, games, books, puzzles, lots to keep everyone busy!!

The home is 4 levels and 4300 square feet with an elevator and 5 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a TV. Lots of living space and private “escape” areas. On the first floor is a large bedroom with a king size bed that walks out to the pool and patio.
Also on the first floor is a very large bedroom/play room with two bunk beds (one with double bed) and sleeper sofa, TV, table and chairs, fooz ball table and walks out to pool and patio.
On the second floor is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, lots of closet space, a desk, huge bathroom with a jetted tub, and deck off the master with ocean views, overlooking the pool and patio.
Two additional bedrooms are on the second floor with queen size beds. The third floor has a great room with high ceilings which walks out to a large deck and gorgeous ocean views.
There’s a large open kitchen with a bar and a kitchen nook that looks out to the ocean. Also on the third floor is a large dining room and billiard room with café style seating, as well.
The fourth floor is my favorite “escape” spot, with a large sitting area which walks out to the top deck and dramatic ocean views!

House was great. Just what we expected and more. The garage with all of the fun stuff was a surprise - bikes, surf boards, and beach chairs were perfect. Great location for getting to locations for meals. Property manager was onsite to ensure everything was setup and to answer questions. First class service for sure

Coastal Escape ... What an Awesome Vacation Home!

We decided to do a whole family vacation for the first time in over a dozen years. Our family has grown to a total of 16. Eight adults and eight grandchildren. So I went looking for the perfect house to accommodate this large group and still be affordable. When I saw this home on VRBO I immediately fell in love with it. It looked bright and roomy and so close to the ocean. We had kids ranging from ages 3 to 15, so the bunk room looked perfect. The pool table, the outdoor pool, the bikes, all were enticing. So were the number of bedrooms. I wanted this to be just the most perfect house for our first whole family endeavor. Let me tell you... It was! This home is so pretty. The furnishings are just as they are pictured. The kids loved the bunk room which also included fooz ball and games and TV. Our read-a-holic teenager loved the 4th floor escape room for just that.. an escape to read. We paid for the pool to be heated and it was awesome. We used it so much. With 5 kids under age 6, we were really pleased about the safety alarm on the sliding door to the pool. We ladies loved the large kitchen which was loaded with everything you could possible need. The guys played pool, the girls played games on the dining table pretty much every night. We loved the bikes too. Some of us biked all around the quiet town of Croatan and biked to the boardwalk which was just minutes away. It was extremely hot the week we went so the a/c was a heaven sent. The beach is so close that every morning those who were early risers walked our cups of coffee to the ocean for a leisurely walk on the beach. The entrance to the house has a large foyer to put sandy shoes and wet suits which really helps to keep the house clean. The garage is large and has an extra refrigerator for cases of pop and ice cream. The decks were great too. And the elevator! Now I must admit, my favorite room was our bedroom. My husband and I, the oldsters, got the master bedroom and it was just awesome. The bath was gorgeous! I did lend my deep jetted tub to the others because I felt sorry for them... but not real sorry. All in all, this vacation home was the dream house we wanted and the family has talked about this vacation for months afterwards. We will deffinately be back to Coastal Escape again. Deffinately!

Four generations of my family had an incredible week last summer at Coastal escape. The place was so well equipped with the finest appliances and kitchen ware. The elevator was perfect for my 88 year old mom as well as hauling in groceries for the week. It was so easy to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen that we chose to stay home and cook rather than eat out. The air conditioning system worked well on all levels, even the top floor was cool. This is a lovely home for large families like ours. Mara

Our family which numbers up to ten adults and four children get together once a year for a family vacation. After collaboration a location is chosen and Dad goes about finding a vacation home to accomodate the family with the right combination of space, location and amenities. I have found vrbo to be the best resource for this annual task. If you are planning a large family vacation at the beach, look no further than Coastal Escape. It will meed or surpass your expectations. Backyard inground pool, a few hundred yards to a great quiet beach and a short bike ride to the boardwalk at downtown Virginia Beach makes for the ideal location. The house is large enough to find private space when needed and to afford everyone a bed to sleep in comfortably. The balconies and deck around the pool were favorite spots for many of us to gather before mealtimes and enjoy the sounds and views of the surf. The child proof alarms from the patio doors to the pool alleviated alot of motherly concerns for the three and four year olds safety. The house has just the right combination of furnishings emphasizing comfort and convenience. It felt like home. Hats off to the owners for their efforts and concerns. We had a GREAT vacation and will definitely come back in the near future.
