We just returned from Tulum and had a fabulous time. We stayed at Villas Geminis in Tulum Pueblo with Catherine and Hernan as our gracious hosts. We arrived around 3:00 and Catherine was there to be sure we were all set to go and had everything we needed including 3 pages worth of recommendations at the beach and in the pueblo. Restaurants, grocery and fruit/vegetable shops, you name it and they had it covered on the list. Our condo was spacious, clean and a very enjoyable place for 4 travelers to call home during our week in Tulum. The location was extremenly convenient to town on foot and a short drive to the beach in our car. Parking was safe and we felt comfortable and welcome during our entire stay. Having the full kitchen was a nice bonus as we ate in most days for breakfast. 2 full bathrooms was also a big plus with 4 adults in the condo. Beds are comfy and we slept very well. The front porch was also nice for a little reading, relaxation and a cold beer. We did enjoy a late movie to end the night one evening on the television. The grounds are lush and full of tropical plants surronding the pool and condos. You come through the gate and it feels like a little oasis in the midst of the dusty pueblo. We especially enjoyed Coco, Mishka and Olivia (the owners' two dogs and a cat) as our animals had to stay home during our trip. You must try Da Gigi for dinner while you're in town. You won't find it listed on Trip Advisor yet (the original Da Gigi is in Playa). Food is incredible (As good or better than Dolci Sapori) and it is never crowded as tourists don't know about it yet.

Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable aux villas geminis. Catherine et Hernan ont tout fait pour que nous nous sentions chez nous. Le condo était super propre, confortable, bien décoré. Les hôtes sont honnêtes, aimables, très généreux, toujours disponibles, tout en étant discrets. L'emplacement est idéal pour ceux qui cherchent autre chose que les gros hôtels et le monde artificiel et hors de prix de la zone hôtelière qui est directement sur la plage. C'est un bon point de départ pour toutes les excursions et pour découvrir la vraie vie au Mexique. Vous vous sentirez chez vous en rentrant chaque soir.

We just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Villas Geminis. You have definitely carved out a piece of paradise there. Cesar was very good to us, and we enjoyed your company and insight into the local attractions very much. We thought the location was perfect, it gave us great access to the beach and the pueblo and also allowed us to park the car at the end of a day and walk to whatever evening activities we decided to enjoy. We could come up nothing negative at all!! ( Hernan kept asking, and ther was nothing we could think of !!!) We are very early planners, and have decided we should make Villas Geminis a part of our vacation next year! Thanks again for your hospitality and when we firm up travel dates, we will be sure to let you know, so we can reserve our new "home in Tulum"

Quiero recomendar el condo, porque es increible. Las casas son divinas, son modernas y super calidas, perfectas para pasar las mejores vacaciones ya sea con familia, amigos, pareja o quien sea. Los dueños son personas super amorosas, preocupadas por los detalles minimos. Cuando uno llegam, se encuentra con que en la casa les han dejado frutas, agua y otras cosas que en ningun otro condo te dan. Por otro lado, cuenta con todas las comodidades, es cerca del pueblo, no muy lejos de la playa y las casas son super comodas, cuentan con aire, tv satelital, todos los intrumentos de cocina y mucho mas.

I found this pearl on the internet and booked it and must say we didn´t regret it! From the very start everything has been perfect. Hernan and Catherine are so nice people that really takes care of their guests. We really liked their condos and the style of interior with all details. This was our 3rd trip to Mexico and the peninsula of Yucatan and Tulum is by fare the best place to visit according to us if you like peace and quiet and genuine Mexican style. Absolutely fabulous place for a Tulum vacation! Location is perfect to enjoy a complete Tulum experience - easy access to beaches and short stroll to shops and dining in town. The architecture and design of the condo sets the tone for a relaxing vacation the moment you set foot through the front gate. The owners and caretakers are generous with hospitality and available for any question. We will look to stay here first on every trip back to Riviera Maya!

Family from Nederlands: We were tired after a journey of almost 20 ours traveling, so the warm welcome we get from Hernan and Chaterine was very nice. Fresh fruit and other resources were all present in the Condo. The condo has all the convenience you wish on your holiday. They are very nice decorated. Hernan and Chaterine are very helpful and will inform you with nice tips about Tulum. The beach they advise was lovely (in front of hotel/ restaurant Evita La Bella). Drinking a beer on the last night of our stay did not happen unfortunately any more, so we have to come back again or Hernan en Chaterine (and their daughter + pets) are very welcome to visit us in the Netherlands. Tuve la suerte de poder pasar dos semanas en Villa Géminis disfrutando de unas increíbles vacaciónes, y la verdad solo puedo decir cosas buenas de este Condo Hotel en el que se mezclan la calidez familiar de sus dueños, con la libertad que te otorga tener una apartamento completamente independiente, muy bien equipado y armónicamente decorado. La intimidad y privacidad de cada apartamento es inmejorable, lo que me permitió descansar y disfrutar de mi tiempo. Por otro lado el precioso jardín y los lugares comunes de recreación me permitieron contactárme con viajeros de diferentes partes del mundo, lo que sin duda enriqueció mi experiencia. En fin, mi estadía en México fue maravillosa y en gran parte fue gracias Villa Geminis, el lugar mejor lugar que pude haber encontrado para pasar mis vacaciones!

Nos dernières vacances à Tulum furent marquées par une découverte extraordinaire: le condo hotel Villas Geminis. Nous y avons passé une semaine fabuleuse, en ayant l'impression d'être reçus par de bons amis. Les propriétaires sont tout simplement adorables, nous donnant de bons conseils sur les endroits où se procurer tout ce dont nous avions besoin (on trouve de tout à quelques coins de rues: boulangerie, fruiterie, poissonnerie, épicerie, alcool, restos, location de vélos, agences d'excursions touristiques...). L'endroit est calme et sécuritaire (parfait pour les familles), les condos sont spacieux, confortables, très propres, bien équipés et décorés avec goût. Les amoureux des animaux y trouveront leur compte, les proprios possèdent 2 chiens, un labrador adorable (qui fait office de chien de garde) et un petit chihuahua super mignon. Ils ont également un chat qui adore ronronner sur les balcons. Si vous cherchez un endroit en plein coeur du village de Tulum, hors des chaînes hôtelières "tout-inclus", cet endroit est tout indiqué. À seulement 60 pesos (à peine 5$ canadien) de la plage en taxi, ou 15 minutes en vélo. Les amateurs de snorkeling seront aussi bien servis: le village est entouré de "cenotes" facilement accessibles en vélo et même à pied. Nous recommandons cet endroit les yeux fermés, et y retournerons sans hésitation. C'est tout simplement un coin de paradis!

We couldn't have asked for warmer hosts or better accommodations. The suites are spacious with a modern minimalist design aesthetic. It was a pleasure to cook our meals in the spacious kitchen. Our kids were thrilled to play in the lush courtyard with with Coco, Mishka & Olivia. And the location made it gave us easy access to the local restaurants & stores. We would never dream of staying anyplace other than Villas Geminis on our next visit to Tulum.

This place has been a sanctuary for me. The Owners/Managers are an exceptional couple who set forth a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There is a feeling of stillness here, permeated with vitality. The lush garden, with oversize greens, surround a long fountain that sounds nurturing at night when drifting off to sleep. The pool has a design to it that is inviting to swim or lounge, especially on the sides. Very clever design. The unit is spacious with a nice size kitchen. Beautiful art work, and other tasteful and pragmatic furnishings make a welcoming and nurturing stay

We arrived in the evening, and were greeted with fine service until the moment we left. The Condo was clean and comfortable. On several occasions we entertained guests that leved in the area for dinner. Catherine and Hernan we gracious and helpful, making the experience like a home away from home. We had booked a week, but decided to stay two weeks. The beach was a short drive, and all of the town of Tulum a short walk. Great food was had at several restaurants close by- Azafran, El Mariachi, El Asadero, Salsalitos to name a few.

We have been travelling to this area of Mexico several time per year for over 20 years. When Playa del Carmen turned into a tourist trap we started heading south. In an effort to escape the hub bub, we've been to Akumal, Tulum, and Punta Allen to name a few. No where have we encountered proprietors as wonderful and gracious as Catherine and Hernan who are the owners/operators of Villas Geminas. It is located about a two minute walk from the center of town. While it is not within an easy walk to the beach, a taxi can be had directly to your favorite beach club for a very reasonable price. Bike rentals are available in town and the beach is an easy bike ride from the Villas. What, you want to be on the beach!? You'll save a small fortune by staying at the Villas Geminas as opposed to the beach and you can go to the beach anytime you like. I never have seen the point of spending the extra cash on accomodations just to be on the beach. And Hernan and Catherine have created such a nice oasis within the courtyard of the hotel that you'll be hard pressed to remember that you are right in the middle of all the best places to eat and shop. The kitchen was very well equipped for meals. Plenty of space in the dining room for 6-8 people to enjoy a meal ... another great money saver. The only thing I thought was missing from the kitchen was a toaster. And when I mentioned this, Hernan went out and got toasters for all the units! The bathrooms were immaculate and well appointed. Very spacious and comfortable ... not what you'll find at some of the places along the beach. I especially liked the very large shower in the master bath. The bedrooms were good sized and had balconies overlooking the courtyard. I forgot to mention some of the very nice art work throughout the condo signed by no less than Hernan himself. I did not use the pool, but it was clean and well kept. The kids used and enjoyed it. While we where there they finished building a very nice pond/fountain which was a very nice addition. Toss in a hammock at the front door of your condo and you have the perfect vacation. It was obvious to us that a lot of thought and attention to detail ... and even love ... went into designing and maintaining the Villas Geminas. I miss being there very much and we are already planning our next visit. Thanks Hernan and Cathernine!

Vous serez reçus en Francais, Italien, Espagnol ou Anglais par Catherine et Hernan. Les appartements sont spacieux, ultra propres et décorés avec gout. L'équipement intérieur comprend un frigo, 4 feux et un fou gaz, de la vaisselle...vous pourriez vous croire a la maison... Situé dans Tulum (pueblo), Villas Geminis est un havre a 2 pas du centre mais d'un calme absolu. Le jardin intérieur est impeccablement entretenu, l'espace extérieur est aménagé avec un hamac et 2 chaises par appartement, les autres occupants sont aussi très respectueux ce qui contribue au calme des lieux. Les photos sur le site ne sont pas mensongères, elle reflètent la réalité... Vous trouverez toute l'aide dont vous avez besoin auprès de Catherine et Hernan que ce soit pour des infos touristiques, des conseils pratique ou toute autre assistance. En résumé vous avez l'impression d'être reçus chez des amis, mais en mieux. Je ne sais pas ce que valent les autres hôtels et condos de Tulum, mais si je repasse par la, j'irai obligatoirement chez Catherine et Hernan.

A group of 6 of us stayed here over the Christmas holiday. The condo/hotel was a great find. The owners were very nice and very helpful for finding good local places to eat and for excursions. The condo was clean, well kept, and exactly like the pictures. We loved coming back each afternoon and evening and being greeted by the two very sweet dogs. Would definitely stay here again when returning to Tulum.

A beautiful private compound of 4 villas that have all the comforts of home. Zen modern decor. Totally relaxing and central to the main areas of the town of Tulum as well close to the main beach road. You travel around by rental car or taxi if you want. I would suggest rental since it's more economical and gives you the freedom to explore the many different beaches, surrounding towns and sites. Owner operated by a lovely family. If you want to vacation in a place that is removed from the hustle & bustle this is the place. Wonderful variety of places to eat along the beach road and in town as well. Main street of town is walkable if you want.

Villas Geminis is a wonderful retreat - very Zen feel. The owners and staff could not have been more gracious and inviting. The condo is beautiful and welcoming and the garden with pool is a nice welcome home from a day spent at the beach or seeing the sights. It is central to shopping and restaurants - walking distance really. Had a great stay and can't wait to plan a return.

My wife, three year-old and I spent a week at the condo hotel, and found it a great oasis before or after having daily adventures in the surrounding area. There were two separate rooms, giving my wife and I privacy while our son slept. Also, the A/C was effective, not to be taken for granted in Tulum. Most importantly, our son loved the large lap pool and the owners' six-year old daughter. The owners, Catherine and Hernan, made us feel like guests in their home.
