Pine Creek Mountain Lodge is our custom log home located at an elevation of 4,200' on 40 wooded acres. The main house is 4,200 square feet with separate garage apartment and is the perfect location for your relaxing vacation, family reunion or weekend getaway. The high elevation means cool breezes all summer long. Pine Creek Mountain Lodge is located 11 miles from Cashiers, 18 miles from Highlands and 12 miles from Franklin -- but once you arrive you won't want to leave, so just bring your groceries and stay a while.

This is the perfect place to relax with family or friends -- plenty of rocking chairs and chaise lounges on the multiple porches and decks; cozy up to the fireplace or wood stove; soak in a large hot tub on a separate deck overlooking the woods; hike through 40 acres of private mountain land where you never know what you will see or find (we found an old moonshine still); enjoy lots of board games & books; watch your favorite shows on satellite TV; relax in the gazebo overlooking a small stream where the kids will love to play; roast hot dogs & marshmallows at the fire pit.

The main house has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths on 3 levels. The main level includes a great room with fireplace, dining room with table that seats 12, kitchen, master bedroom (queen) & bath and powder room. Lower level has a large playroom (queen sofa bed), 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full), bathroom & laundry room. Upper level includes 1 bedroom (1 full, 1 twin) with balcony, study (twin sofa bed) with balcony and a bathroom. The garage apartment includes living area, full kitchen, bedroom (queen) with balcony & bath.

After you've relaxed for a while there are plenty of nearby activities for everyone -- from great restaurants & shopping to golf, fishing & white water rafting. Lake Glenville with 26 miles of shoreline and the highest elevation lake (3,800') east of the Mississippi is just 2 miles away. Bring your own boat (plenty of room to park boat & trailer) or rent one at the marina and enjoy the beautiful scenery, waterfalls, swimming & fishing.

There are lots of sightseeing opportunities in the area -- Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, Cherokee Indian reservation & Unto These Hills Outdoor Drama in Cherokee, Smokey Mountain Rail Road in Dillsboro; Smokey Mountain National Park. The adults may want to try out Harrah's Casino in Cherokee and the kids will love the sliding rock in Cashiers and gem mining in Franklin.

But then you'll want to come back to your comfortable mountain lodge, watch the sunset from the porch, soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine and grill a steak on the deck while the kids play in the stream until it's time to build a fire and roast marshmallows.

  • This home was spectacular! Our jaws dropped to the floor when we walked in. There were 10 of us with more than enough room for everyone. Everything was supplied for us, from extra blankets and towels to paper towels, dishware, condiments, and wine glasses..They thought of everything!! The hot tub was great. The kids loved the Wii and it was very relaxing out on the numerous decks. We were close to everything, and even rented a boat at Lake Glenville. It couldnt have been a nicer vacation.   • Carol and Noe, I have got to thank you for the cabin rental this winter! The cabin exceeded our expectations so much! We had so much fun up the skiing and going to Gatlinburg in January. The kids are so excited to come back in July and go whitewater rafting and go to the ruby mines.   • This home is the most wonderful family vacation spot. The home is furnished and equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever need. It is so comfortable and beautiful. There is so much to do during the day and we have done it all. The evenings are breathtaking. The stars seem so close you could touch them. We have been there in all seasons and they are all my favorite! Every evening after dinner, we have bonfires. The children LOVE these evenings of marshmallow roasting and hot dog roasting. Thanksgiving and Christmas are especially wonderful for folks from Florida. The Fall is the most gorgeous landscape you've ever seen. There is something for everyone here. I've never known anyone who goes there who hasn't fallen in love with it. We have so many terrific family memories to cherish forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Just a note to say how much our family enjoyed our stay at your lodge. This was one of our best vacations ever! We all enjoyed the great accommodations, comfy beds and terrific breakfasts. I especially enjoyed my morning coffee sitting in a rocker on the deck watching the sunrise. Our teenaged children enjoyed the activities available - horseback riding, boat rides on the lake, white water rafting. A special treat for me was to relax in the hammock by the stream with a good book. We all are looking forward to a return visit.

  • Dear Carol and Noe (aka Mountain Man) Thank you for so much for providing such an incredible retreat for my family and friends. Each year when we return it is like coming home it is sooo welcoming! Even the dog is now familiar and has his favorite “haunts” down by the stream. The first thing we do when we arrive is immediately go out of the back porch to look out at the incredible mountain view, relax and rock in one of those fabulous rockers. While unpacking it is always so much fun to look around the house to see all the beautiful decorations and pictures. Food is always a BIG portion of our family togetherness and your WELL STOCKED kitchen (with ALL the kitchen gadgets needed to make a gourmet meal - my own personal passion) or the outside grill (which John fancies himself the king of) it is all there for us to enjoy! Least we not forget to mention our regular trip to “THE SMOKE HOUSE” for BBQ in Cashiers too! This year we decided to try white water rafting on the Nantahala River - EXILERATING! And for a bit tamer but equally fun… Slippery Rock in Cashiers! Thanks again, please book us for the same two weeks next summer!
