We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay at this lovely home during the MLK weekend in 2012. Sadly a number of factors made the trip less than ideal Upon arrival, the home's temperature was below 50 degrees as all of the thermostats had been turned so low that they were essentially off. It took nearly 24 hours for the home to reach a reasonable temperature of 68 degrees. We were visiting with children below age 1 through age 8 and the low temperature was extremely uncomfortable for them and us. A big part of why we chose this home was the hot tub. Upon arrival, we found it to be broken. The buttons for the tub will not work and it was frigid. No effort on our part could make the hot tub work. Finally, what I find most frustrating is the failure of the homeowner's to respond to my requests for the security deposit. I have written 3 times only requesting return of our security deposit as we left the home exactly as requested. Though I shared our concerns regarding the temperature and hot tub with the owners, I did not request any refund for our stay. My only request has been the agreed return of the security deposit and I have heard nothing from the homeowners. This failure to communicate is clearly unprofessional and unacceptable. I believe this is a lovely home in many ways with beautiful views and plenty of space. I only wish that the responsiveness and professionalism of the homeowner matched the quality of the building.

We stayed here Labor Day weekend with my entire family. There were 16 of us and we fit perfectly. All sleeping spots were comfortably taken! After a trek up the mountain we found ourselves in total peace. We brought food so that we didn't have to trek back down the mountain. The kitchen and grill were perfect for many wonderful, homemade meals. The view off the deck was breathtaking and we spent most of our time out there drinking coffee and talking. The dining room table was great for many board games and cards. The kids enjoyed the downstairs playroom with Wii. We set up cornhole games in the backyard. The hot tub had some issues while we were there with shutting off and staying warm. But that is the only issue we had. Everything else was picture PERFECT and Carol and Noe were helpful to work with. They sent out area information that helped us decide what to do the day we came off the mountain. Please know that the house does not have AC but we slept with the windows open and loved the coolness of the mountain air. Thank you for a memorable weekend celebrating my dad's 60th. We would love to stay here again.

We had a terrific stay at Pine Creek Mountain Lodge. I would highly recommend this property. It is actually nicer than than the photos give it credit. The view off the back deck it wonderful, the property is very private and there is plenty to do nearby (Cashiers is about 20 minutes away). While it was just me and my girlfriend staying at the Lodge, it would easily accomodate two other couples plus children. We plan to go back as soon as possible and bring some close friends to enjoy the experience.

Our week long stay for Christmas was wonderful. Ended up having a white Christmas, and even got snowed in for two days. The owners were very accommodating in this inconvienence, allowing our stay til we were able to get plowed out to leave safely. The cabin is a beautiful home, which housed our 16 person family. The grounds and views are just as beautify. Can't wait to come back.

We spent 2 nights in Pine Creek Mountain Lodge to celebrate my father’s 79th birthday in the end of October. My family and friends had a wonderful and very relaxing time here. The lodge sits high up on the mountain – stunning views, peaceful, beautifully located, very spacious and comfortable. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. My father is retired art professor from Beijing, China. He was so inspired by the tranquil and colorful surroundings, and nonstop doing the sketches. He said he would like to publish them when he returns back to China. Thank you, Carol for the joyful and memorable experience your beautiful place has offered us! Ling

The views from the deck and hot tub are amazing. I was a bit skeptical of how much elevation you would be able to enjoy from the picture but I was wrong. We were there on a Beautiful Fall Weekend. The Property is set amid a gorgeous track of land. Hammock and stream are Tops for Relaxing. LARGE house where everyone has lots of room to spread out and do their own thing. Log Construction is awe inspiring. Great location near the lake, towns of Cashiers and Highlands. Fun Horseback riding just down the road. A Great find in Cashiers.

This property exceeded our expectations in every way. The lodge is beautifully appointed with every convenience one could desire. The views are stunning. Our family of 14 enjoyed the lodge's amenities, two pontoon outings on Lake Glenville and one horseback ride. We shopped in Cashiers and Highlands. The hammock by the stream and the hot tub were everyone's favorites. What a great place to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Liz and Bill

Our family relied on the information and photos of the lodge in our decision to select this rental and we were not disappointed. Comments I heard from both adults and young people were, "this is really special, it is the best place we have been." We felt like guests in a very nice home. Our group consited of 8 adults and 5 teenagers. The jacuzzi was a favorite for adults and teens in the evening. We had very special times together at beside the brook at the bottom of the stairs. The front portch was another favorite spot for reading and visiting. We went hiking two days, boating one afternoon and swimming twice. The lodge location on 40 acres gave us privacy and a wonderful forest setting. We expect to return and recommend the lodge to others.

We had a great time staying in this cabin!! There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and lots of additional space to overflow into. The hot tub outside was perfect for those cool nights. There is a nice walk down to the creek and a hammock to lay in and listen to the water. It is very secluded which is nice when you have a large group so you don't worry about bothering anyone else. I would definately recommend this place and will return in the furture!!

What a wonderful home to spend a white Christmas! Our family did and we will long remember the special setting of this beautiful home. Everything was ready for us, the snow (optional), the hot tub (a must), and plenty of fire wood (we used the fireplace non-stop). The property is large and you are secluded with a great view. The space is huge. We had our ten grandchildren and parents, with everyone having a space. The home was beautifully decorated for the holiday. The owners are the best, a wonderful experience! One word of caution, make sure you get the driving directions for the last mile, as all of our GPS units missed the final mark a bit and none of our cell phones worked at the destination. Not to worry, the owner has a land line phone available. With these minor cautions, you will have a wonderful time that we can heartily recommend to all.

This home was spectacular! Our jaws dropped to the floor when we walked in. There were 10 of us with more than enough room for everyone. Everything was supplied for us, from extra blankets and towels to paper towels, dishware, condiments, and wine glasses..They thought of everything!! The hot tub was great. The kids loved the Wii and it was very relaxing out on the numerous decks. We were close to everything, and even rented a boat at Lake Glenville. It couldnt have been a nicer vacation. I recommend this vacation home highly! Kris and John from Sarasota, FL

Carol and Noe, I have got to thank you for the cabin rental this winter! The cabin exceeded our expectations so much! We had so much fun up the skiing and going to Gatlinburg in January. The kids are so excited to come back in July and go whitewater rafting and go to the ruby mines. I we can't wait to get away from the 100 plus degree heat here in Atlanta and bumper to bumper traffic! It was truly a pleasure! Thanks Again!

Dear Carol and Noe (aka Mountain Man)Thank you for so much for providing such an incredible retreat for my family and friends. Each year when we return it is like coming home it is sooo welcoming! Even the dog is now familiar and has his favorite “haunts” down by the stream. The first thing we do when we arrive is immediately go out of the back porch to look out at the incredible mountain view, relax and rock in one of those fabulous rockers. While unpacking it is always so much fun to look around the house to see all the beautiful decorations and pictures.Food is always a BIG portion of our family togetherness and your WELL STOCKED kitchen (with ALL the kitchen gadgets needed to make a gourmet meal - my own personal passion) or the outside grill (which John fancies himself the king of) it is all there for us to enjoy! Least we not forget to mention our regular trip to “THE SMOKE HOUSE” for BBQ in Cashiers too! This year we decided to try white water rafting on the Nantahala River - EXILERATING! And for a bit tamer but equally fun… Slippery Rock in Cashiers! Thanks again, please book us for the same two weeks next summer! We’re even considering a long weekend in the fall… the leaves must be incredible I would imagine!Cheers,Wendy Clough

This home is the most wonderful family vacation spot. The home is furnished and equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever need. It is so comfortable and beautiful. There is so much to do during the day and we have done it all. The evenings are breathtaking. The stars seem so close you could touch them. We have been there in all seasons and they are all my favorite! Every evening after dinner, we have bonfires. The children LOVE these evenings of marshmallow roasting and hot dog roasting. Thanksgiving and Christmas are especially wonderful for folks from Florida. The Fall is the most gorgeous landscape you've ever seen. There is something for everyone here. I've never known anyone who goes there who hasn't fallen in love with it. We have so many terrific family memories to cherish forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Our entire family has stayed at this beautiful resort...all the information is correct and true...it was a fabulous vacation for all of us and we truly enjoyed the spectacular scenery from the hot tub, which was an added bonus, after we cooked fresh fish caught in the lake mentioned and went shopping till we dropped, in Cashiers and Highlands...would go back in a heartbeat!

Just a note to say how much our family enjoyed our stay at your lodge. This was one of our best vacations ever! We all enjoyed the great accommodations, comfy beds and terrific breakfasts. I especially enjoyed my morning coffee sitting in a rocker on the deck watching the sunrise. Our teenaged children enjoyed the activities available - horseback riding, boat rides on the lake, white water rafting. A special treat for me was to relax in the hammock by the stream with a good book. We all are looking forward to a return visit.
