This home was absolutely amazing! So beautifully built, and simply decorated. The deck was incredible and when we were at the house, that's where we spent our time. Beautiful views! The pool was great, especially for our two young children. Either before or after the beach each day they would play in the pool. This house was exceptionally clean as well, which made it even that much better. Hilarie is a dream to work with. From my first e-mail, to our farewell texts on the island, she was always prompt, professional, friendly and extremely helpful. She helped us find a photographer to do our family photo, always answered all of my questions and even helped us carry the luggage and groceries up the stairs when we arrived! We went to St. John for our honeymoon, and now were returning for our 10 yr. anniversary, and to share this wonderful place with our children. Hilarie and her beautiful home made us feel so welcomed and made this an anniversary the four of us will always remember. Thank you so much, Hilarie, for sharing your home.

My husband and I, along with our 18-month-old daughter, stayed at Mill Ridge for a week in February -- and the villa couldn't have been more perfect. All living spaces on one floor, the pool is well gated, and the balcony that ran the length of the villa, with sweeping views, had a put-us-at-ease railing. The pantry was well stocked with the basics for cooking, we got a couple of gallons of filtered drinking water to get us started, and there were tons of leftover bug spray, lotions, etc. for us to use. Also available were pool toys, floats, beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella. The place was immaculate, the walk-in shower off the master bedroom a nice retreat, and the wi-fi was working perfectly. The pool got a lot of sun during the day, making it definitely swimmable, though a little chilly, in February. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living room and kitchen, making it a good option for two couples as well. Both bedrooms have screened doors that open onto the large balcony, too. Hilarie was a pleasure to deal with before the trip, and was helpful while we were there as well. Highly recommend.

Mill Ridge is perfect for two couples. The main living area is great to cook together, enjoy the views, and spend quality time with everyone. The ammenities are everything you can ask for from a vacation home. Hilarie has thought of everything! We would spend our days waking up to a gorgeous view of Coral Bay, pack a picnic for the beach or for a day on the boat and come home relaxed and ready to recharge either poolside or out on the gorgeious balcony. Mill Ridge is an ideal location and has great access to Coral Bay restaurants and Concordia. If you plan to do a lot of beach hoping, you'll be able to explore the whole island and find that Mill Ridge makes a great home base.

My wife, son, and myself just returned from St. John, where we decided to go for our son's spring break trip, and we stayed at Mill Ridge this time (our 6th trip to the island). The place was just perfect for us. It's beautiful, very functionally laid out, and is wonderfully appointed with everything you could possibly need. We would have breakfast and coffee on the covered porch overlooking Coral Bay each morning, then, after a morning/afternoon spent snorkeling and/or hiking/exploring, would return "home" and relax poolside until it was time to cook dinner, featuring something grilled. We'd enjoy dinner al fresco at the gazebo overlooking the pool, and beyond that, Coral Bay. My wife put out a bowl of sugar each day and she really enjoyed watching the bananquits feed at the rail by the pool deck. Hilarie was a great help working with us before our trip, and made herself available in case we needed anything during our stay. We consider Mill Ridge to be one of St. John's best kept secrets, but imagine that it won't stay that way for long!

We had an amazing time at mill ridge. Hilarie was very helpful and available when needed. The house itself was amazing. Great views and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. The hummingbirds in the morning were a joy to watch while having coffee. The house was beautifully decorated and the amenities were perfect. The Spanish architecture was fabulous. The road up to the house is unpaved so make sure you have a jeep or suv. The location of the house was also great. A perfect distance between north and south shore beaches. Coral bay is a great location bc it is more quaint and laid back. I would recommend mill ridge to anyone!

We stayed at Mill Ridge for two weeks in March. The home is beautifully constructed, well maintained and well appointed. It is convenient to Coral Bay in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the water. The covered deck is generously sized and we spent many an hour out there reading on the few days when the weather was less than ideal. The pool is small but more than adequate for cooling off. There is a large amount of outside space as well as a comfortable living room with an excellent TV and sound system. There are tons of novels, wifi and even a printer so you can print your boarding passes! Hilarie and Jason have really thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. We look forward to returning next year.

Mill Ridge is equal to the best of seven properties we have rented on St. John. It has a nice view of Coral Bay, and the location is convenient to the North Shore beaches and important places like Skinny Legs. The Villa is obviously kept in excellent condition, and we loved the woodwork and decorating touches in all rooms. It has coolers, beach chairs, lots of beach towels, books, satellite, an office, corkscrew, blender, icemaker, patio, grill, pool, plenty of geckos, beautiful deck, etc. Everything we needed for a great vacation. Hilarie was very responsive to all questions prior to arrival, and very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Top notch in all areas!

My family enjoyed three weeks in St. John February 20 – March 10, 2010. We were lucky to find Hilarie and Jason Oliver’s house available during our time frame, because their beautiful house was one very important reason that our vacation was so comfortable and so much fun. There are other reviews written, that report on how beautiful the house and setting are and every detail said about that is absolutely true. I would add to those comments that the layout of the house is just ideal for the privacy of two couples or a family of four. The kitchen is well designed and well equipped to prepare simple or elaborate meals. I am an owner/landlord like the Olivers, and as such I have an appreciation for the impeccable condition of Mill Ridge. More importantly, when we did have a minor problem, Jason took care of it immediately! Owning a house is a huge responsibility that the Olivers take seriously, so I can say whole-heartedly that anyone renting Mill Ridge will enjoy their stay.

We stayed at Mill Ridge for four nights and had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely gorgeous, built with great craftsmanship and stunning attention to detail. The view is beautiful, both day and night, and the grounds are pristine, as is the interior of the house. The kitchen is huge with plenty of room for multiple cooks, and the pool and deck are a great relief on a sunny (or even cloudy!) day. The photos truly don't do this house justice! It's even better in person, and our stay there was absolutely perfect. Hilarie was immensely helpful and provided us with everything we needed and beyond. I can't recommend this property enough, and my only regret is that we couldn't spend more time there!

We loved Mill Ridge and Hilarie was very professional and helpful. It's far more beautiful there than you can see in the photos. The layout is ideal with bedrooms on either side of the main room and access to the huge porch from all rooms. We simply loved it and highly recommend it.

We have been coming to St. John for over 15 years and know what we like in a rental villa. Mill Ridge surpasses our expectations in terms of beauty, comfort, value and quality. It is spotless and has all of the amenities one would want in a vacation home, and then some.It even has an ice maker, which is unheard of! We were so happy not to have to buy ice! The view to Coral Bay is the best we have ever experienced. We usually find ourselves going out every day to various beaches, but many days we just stayed at Mill Ridge because between the beautiful pool, the porch with it's cooling trade winds and the tiki bar area, there was no reason to go anyplace else, it is truly paradise right there. We spent many happy hours sitting on the porch or sunning by the pool. An added bonus is the wireless internet and satellite T.V. The craftmanship in this home is outstanding, the woodwork and tiling truly make you feel as if you are in a West Indian retreat. When the sun goes down, you can watch the moon rise over the bay and see each star come out. Far removed from the noise you can sometimes encounter closer to Coral Bay, the only delightful sounds you will hear at Mill Ridge are from tree frogs and bananna quits.Hilarie and Jason are so accomodating and go out og their way to help make your stay one to remember. I cannot recommend Mill Ridge enough, and I will in the future to friends and relatives traveling to St. John.It truly will becomea memorable place for you.

Thanks Hilarie & Jason for sharing your beautiful house and being "full service" hosts upon our arrival. We loved everything about the house, the design and the view are stunning. It was also a great location, the perfect Caribbean experience.

Mill Ridge is even better than the photos on VRBO! The pictures and description give a good overall view of the house and grounds, but do not adequately capture the owners’ attention to detail, the amenities, or the beautiful view of Coral Bay. The indoor spaces blend into the outdoor environment seamlessly and the home is comfortable and very well-equipped. The owner met us at the home and could not have been more gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay and highly recommend Mill Ridge.
